Just a peek into something we’ll be doing one evening this week. I plan to capture the moments with my camera. A hint though: this doesn’t just have to do with balloons. It’s for a much more significant purpose. I’ll share after the event.

An elephant–something requested last week, well, we’ll tell you more later.
Teaching Dad! First you pump it up. Then tie it. Be ready to twist! Good job! Anyone want a flower?! Anna’s elephant.
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:5
You couldn’t get a more perfect-Kansas “summer” day–with crisp blue skies, puffy clouds, a gentle breeze, and a temperature of about 80–for an auntie/nephew/nieces’ picnic. Anna was watching the little girls as Nathan and Melanie had an appointment with Drew in Kansas City (which went fine).

Ruthie is growing up, and she delights in her older brother, and watching anyone who will pay attention!
Thanks, Jesse, for taking the picture.
There are two ways to eat a sandwich: crust first. Or last. Aunt Anna and Aunt Mary.
“But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.” Psalms 68:3
It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we’re enjoying another reprieve from the summer heat. When the humidity is 15%–well–that’s just amazing for Kansas. And not only am I grateful for a gorgeous day, Sundays are a special day of worship, extra family time, and rest. How much we have to be thankful for!
Last Sunday, Christopher and Anna Marie did a newborn photo session with Drew (I was enroute home so I wasn’t able to help). I thought you’d enjoy seeing pictures. He’s such a cute little guy! Thank you for your prayers for him. He’s doing well.

“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” Deuteronomy 6:7
God has been very gracious to our family. We praise Him for opportunities to minister.
We are excited about the new Energize! conference. Friday night, in between music, we each gave a lightning talk on a burden of our hearts. Dad challenged each of us to develop a topic, practice giving it to the family, and then present it. We all loved it!
Saturday, the sessions were engaging and energizing. One thing we’ve done with the new conference is shorten the time slots from an hour to forty-five minutes, and that change worked great. Conference feedback from those who came was so encouraging!
We LOVE making new friends!
We’re grateful to the church who opened their doors to the conference and to the coordinator who invited us. Thank you!
We enjoyed being in Colorado again.

Friday afternoon set up help!
Mom was excited with her first Schedule Triage session as the ladies were highly engaged. Dad really enjoys the questions in the business session.
Saturday morning set up. It was a delight to see some of our relatives Friday evening! We love having children at conferences. John’s session for young people. Book tables
Panel discussion
A photo with Hannah, Lydia, and their mom. Thanks, ladies, for coming!
“O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalms 90:14
We arrived home about 10 last night. God is so faithful! I’ll share more about the conference later.
Right now, I’m praising the Lord for many things to do.

Notice all the bugs on the front of Uriah? It was a warm day yesterday, and there was a lot of bug activity. Our air conditioners even had trouble keeping up with the heat.
“Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.” Psalms 119:138
We’re on our way home after a great weekend conference. Thursday’s drive went well. One exciting bit of news: Mary finished outlining the Bible! Outlining the Bible is part of her high school graduation requirements, and she’s been diligently working on it for quite some time. It was awesome to see her complete it that afternoon. Good job, Mary!
I was anxious to see our first view of the mountains, and Mary was the spotter. I love seeing God’s creation!
We pulled into the church parking lot before 9. We were so grateful for the Lord’s protection as we drove. I’ll be sharing a conference report later!

Hooray! Good job, Mary! We saw a crop duster. Amazing how low they fly. In action Jesse cleaning the windshield. Joseph filling the tank.
“O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalms 119:97
