There Will Be a New Color at Nathan and Melanie’s

Melanie had an ultrasound recently, and they asked the tech to write what gender the baby is and put the card in an envelope. After dinner, Abby opened the envelope and read it aloud: It’s a BOY! Shock and amazement ensued. Wow! A boy after four little girls. They celebrated with blue-frosted cupcakes! We praise the Lord for His blessing.

Joyfully His,
Sarah

“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.”

  3. I know that excitement! I had an ectopic, three girls, and then a boy. And he is ALL BOY. Those big sisters don’t know what they’re in for. πŸ™‚ Yay!

  4. How sweet! I think back when Susannah Joy was born and the sorrow and pain that followed. It warms my heart to see the immense joy on Melanie and Nathan’s faces, as well as their arms full of children.

    Jeremiah 31:13b comes to mind:

… for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

  7. Congratulations! Such exciting news – did you find out the baby’s gender ahead of time with your girls? I’m assuming that everything else looked good with the ultrasound, which is also cause for rejoicing.

Amen! Blessings to your family Charles.

  20. How exciting!! And what a blessing that he will have those wonderful big sisters. My son is the “baby” with older sisters, and over the years he’s learned so much from them (and knows how to be extra-patient with girls!). πŸ˜‰
Praying for a smooth delivery and healthy baby.

  21. Congratulations! How fun!

My in-laws had a boy (my husband), a girl, then four more boys. When the next one was a girl my MIL’s midwife said “It’s NOT a boy!” instead of “It’s a girl!”. We all still laugh about that!

Enjoy adding a little boy to the mix!

    Blessings,
    Lea
