Susannah, Nathan and Melanie’s first little girl, was born March 21st and went to be with Jesus March 24th. To read more of the background, see last year’s post.
It’s been on Joseph’s heart to re-record the lullaby he wrote for Susannah’s funeral. He didn’t want to just redo it; he wrote a bridge in addition for the song. We know the deep ache many have felt as they’ve gone through the loss of a precious child, and we hope this song will minister to you. We all miss Susannah, yet we know this separation is only temporary.
And we can’t wait to meet you, when we see you at Heaven’s gates.

“And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there …
but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
Revelation 21:25&27
This was beautiful and touched my heart tonight.
What a beautiful song! It is so nice to be reminded of our final destiny when we trust Jesus as our Savior. And, that our loved ones are waiting there for us.
That was beautiful. :’)
This is a beautiful revision of the original lullaby. I was brought to tears, seeing those photos of Susannah and Nathan and Melanie again (and of your other family members, of course) and remember well when she was born and checking your blog every hour and praying and praying for your family. Thank you for sharing this with us. So, so beautiful.
I am so grateful to you for sharing your amazing musical talent to minister to others. Every life is worth remembering even our loved ones in heaven. This is a beautiful tribute and my thanks to you as I remember our Emily who we got to enjoy 7 months with in utero as well as Susanna. Nathan and Melanie are in my prayers.

We are sorry about your loss of Emily.
What a precious tribute to Susannah. Praise the Lord for His Strength and Comfort in our times of sorrow. Thank you for faithfully pointing others to the Lord Jesus for hope in all seasons of life. May He continue to bless your family for His Glory.
Oh how beautiful! Brought a flood of tears to my eyes. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!
Very very lovely!
My grandmother had a stroke last year and on March 21st (also my b-day)they told us there was nothing else to be done and took her off of life support. She also passed on March 24th. The song was beautiful and brought me to tears.
Love this. Yesterday was three years for us. Hug your babies.

Oh! So beautiful, but so sad. I’m so sorry that you all had to lose Susannah that way! Thanks for sharing this. I really
like the way you added to it. It was very touching.
I’m thankful for the wonderful little girls God has blessed Nathan and Melanie with. They’re precious!
God bless. Rebecca

Prayers,
Very touching,beautiful song.God bless you.
Darling, precious song. So beautiful! I love how y’all put the instruments together so well and the echo effect on the voices. My sisters and I are working on adding those kinds of effects to our music. So Well Done!
Beautiful Song. Thank you for sharing one of the hardest moments your family has lived by honoring the Lord with such a beautiful song and preserving the memory with dignity, love, and hope.
Beautiful Song!!! We listened to it about 10 times. My kids are wondering if you have a music CD of your songs???

What a precious tribute. We all enjoyed the new lyrics and video. Thank you for posting this.
….Beautiful…
The most beautiful aspect of dying… is the sweet fragrance of Christ that flows from the lives of those who have embraced the will of their Heavenly Father with “Not my will, but Thine be done.”… as you have Melanie and Nathan….
Tears flow as I watch this precious testimony of faith and trust in pictures and song…I remember your pain every year, as it is around our own Benjamin’s anniversary of being born and going to be with Jesus. The Lord certainly wastes no pain in His children, but works His plan in and through us in these things… I was praying especially for you (Mel and Nathan) on the 21st and 24th and thanking the Lord that He has given you more children to hold and love. He heals our hearts; although we never forget and are forever changed… We love you all so much!

Thank you. Love you guys too and pray for you each week.
I just came across this. You have my condolences. Five months ago, my daughter, Joy, was stillborn. She’s in heaven with my sister, Susanna, who died as a young woman many years ago. I know finding this page was not an accident. I thank Jesus for the hope of heaven. We do not grieve as those who have no hope. May God comfort and strengthen you and all who hear this song. Blessings,
Joanna
