Buying a House Debt-Free Is In Stock!

Earlier this week, we received the Buying a House Debt-Free books. It’s truly amazing to have the finished product. After a huge time investment, it’s exciting to see it done. Our prayer is that the Lord will use this book to show many that it is indeed possible to own their first home without being in bondage to a lender. We believe that this is a desperately needed message across America, and ultimately the world. Our hope is that this book will start a wave of different thinking; a group of people that are determined to set their families on the best path, and not willing to take the average “impossible” for an answer.

That’s why we think Dr. Davis nailed it with the comment he sent us after reading a pre-release copy:

“I am very impressed with the vision the Maxwells are casting for young men. This book has the potential to make a significant impact on the next generation. I want my grandsons to read this. The stories given are worth the price of the book.”

— Dr. S.M. Davis

Get yours today and find practical direction as well as inspiration from young men who have taken that road which isn’t crowded. They are average citizens, like you, with above-average ambitions: motivated merely by the un-willingness to live off of what a bank will loan. It is possible.

A Neighborly Invitation

Spur-of-the-moment things can be special; and that was the case for Thursday’s invitation to Christopher and Anna Marie’s for dinner.

Who could you bless? Perhaps there’s a new family in your neighborhood, and you could whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies (our favorite recipe is the Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from Crisco). Or, you could take a few minutes to catch up with a neighbor on what’s been going on in his or her life.

Acts of kindness show others the love of Jesus.

For those who wonder, these two bibs are a perfect, no, rather, a necessary combination to keep a little one clean. The long-sleeve is from IKEA, and the other is a Baby Bjorn Soft Bib.

Susannah Joy’s Lullaby with Love

Susannah, Nathan and Melanie’s first little girl, was born March 21st and went to be with Jesus March 24th. To read more of the background, see last year’s post.

It’s been on Joseph’s heart to re-record the lullaby he wrote for Susannah’s funeral. He didn’t want to just redo it; he wrote a bridge in addition for the song.  We know the deep ache many have felt as they’ve gone through the loss of a precious child, and we hope this song will minister to you. We all miss Susannah, yet we know this separation is only temporary.

And we can’t wait to meet you, when we see you at Heaven’s gates.

Odds and Ends at the Maxwells’

Life has slowed down some with the new book being done. Dad and Mom invested much time and effort into Buying a House Debt-Free, and a number of us also helped out. We’re excited to pick up the books from the printer early in the week. I’m dreaming Moodys again, and Book #9’s outline is in the final stage. Lord willing, I’ll be writing very soon. If any of you Moody readers have ideas for things you’d like to see in future books, I’d love to hear from you.

It is also delightful to see spring emerging, with buds appearing on the trees, grass becoming greener, and some days feeling warmer.

I’m grateful for every day the Lord gives to serve Him. No matter where the Lord has us in life, He always has opportunities to minister. It could be something as simple as an encouraging card you send to a fellow believer, bringing a meal to someone who needs it, or having neighbors over for dinner. May we each be busy about what Jesus wants us to do.

Treasure each moment! Here are random photos from the last two weeks.

Love,
Sarah

Sometimes one has to be creative, and we needed a picture to go along with the March Corner, so Anna helped me out.

Buying a House Debt-Free, A Book Giveaway

We are excited about Buying a House Debt-Free. It’s a resource we believe will help families gain the vision and practical “how-tos” to equip their sons to purchase a home debt-free.

One of our pre-release test dads shared: “Rather than take the path most travelled, authors Steve and Teri Maxwell provide examples of how young men were able to buy their first homes debt free. These are inspirational stories about how God directed these young men, often in their early teen years to develop vocational skills, save money and look for opportunities to avoid the pitfalls and slavery of a mortgage.”

We’ll be giving away two copies of Buying a House Debt-Free.

Two  winners will be selected by a drawing from the approved comments on Friday, March 21st. Participation is easy. All you have to do is comment under this post by Thursday, March 20th at noon CDT.

So, the question we’d like you to answer in your comment to enter is:

Why would you want your son
to have his home debt-free?

Onto the fine print. This will be on the honor system, so we leave it to you.

  • Entry closed at noon on the 20th.  Thank you to those who entered.
  • One entry per family.
  • We reserve the right not to post any comment or entry.
  • If you have already pre-ordered the book, don’t worry. Enter anyway. If you are a winner, we will refund your money.
