With Grateful Hearts: Another Arrow in the Womb

Melanie and I are excited to announce another pregnancy. We are looking to God and trusting Him as we anticipate a mid-August arrival.

For a couple who didn’t know if we would be able to have children, to now the anticipation of welcoming our fifth (Susannah went home to be with the Lord three days after she was born) to the family, we feel very blessed. The girls are all excited, and Melanie is happy to be feeling good going into the second trimester.

“As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:
they shall not be ashamed,
but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”
Psalms 127:4-5

  1. So happy for you all! Will be praying for Melanie and baby as I’ve done with all the other precious ones.

  2. Congratulations! Such wonderful news! I’ve followed along at Titus 2 since shortly before your wedding. Your testimony is always a blessing to me, not just seeing that it is truly God who opens and closes the womb, but also your faithfulness throughout it.

Also, Bethany was due just a month before our sixth baby, and then Christina was born 5 days after our seventh. So, it’s neat to have another pregnancy that I’m reminded to pray for Melanie by our own baby on the way. 🙂

  4. Congratulations! Such exciting news! Of course you’re hoping for a healthy baby, but do the girls have a preference for the gender of the baby?

    Love your family in Christ,

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your VINE cast her FRUIT before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”
    Malachi 3:10-11

  17. Many congratulations! I was highly suspicious because in the previous post the girls were wearing their “I am going to be a big sister” shirts. (I am a details person so I clicked on the pictures so I could read what they said) Was that day your big announcement to the family? In any case, you have many people praying for you!

  18. Thanks for sharing this exciting and special news! I will remember to pray for your family and especially for Melanie! I’m expecting my first child around the end of July! It’s been a new and exciting journey. 🙂

  20. What a blessing! 🙂 I can remember a few years ago reading about your family’s loss of precious Susannah, and then (I think) a miscarriage. God is good! I’m reminded tonight that it’s all in His timing, not ours. Congratulations!

  25. Congratulations — such great news! Sending prayers for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy. Looking forward to updates and to mid-August!

  26. Praising the Lord with you. Psalm 2:11 is a great representation any time I have experienced a pregnancy. “Worship the LORD with reverence, and rejoice with trembling.” We have had the experience of miscarriage also, and it is a reminder that all things are in the Lord’s hands.
Praying for your family! We are due with our 6th the first week of August. I will be praying much for you! 🙂
