We’re Here in Virginia

We left the Pittsburgh area this morning about 11. The drive included curvy roads and lots of traffic. We’re grateful for the Lord’s protection! The autumn colors intensified as we went through eastern Pennsylvania, and the brilliant hues were a treat to see. After the colors faded to green, the rolling Shenandoah hills graced the landscape. We pulled into the Roanoke area a little after 7 pm.

After we parked at the church and were situated, our dear friends surprised us with a visit. They saw our bus and stopped in. We were thrilled to spend a little time fellowshipping.

We look forward to what the Lord will do this weekend. This is our only Virginia stop on this trip, so if you’ve been thinking about coming to a conference, we encourage you to take advantage of it.

Serving Jesus,

“What shall I render unto the LORD
for all his benefits toward me?”
Psalms 116:12

  1. Love the pics of the foliage turning. Praying for your conference this weekend. God is good all the time.

    In Christ,

  2. Fall is such a beautiful season! Your pictures are gorgeous.

Best wishes on your upcoming conference. Your family is such a blessing!

  3. Ohhh! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Virginia! Every spring we try to go camping at one of the state parks. Such a lovely state! And full of rich Southern history!

  4. You know, if you all are in Virginia, you should go see our great nation’s Capitol before you head back home! Most things are closed right now, but there’s still so much to see and do in the area. My husband, our toddler son and I just love wandering down the Mall (that’s the big lawn, not a shopping complex, LOL!), soaking in the history and seeing all the different people. I think it would be a great opportunity for a homeschooling family, since there’s just so much to learn about our country’s history and it’s people. Hope you all can make it!
Years ago we did that. We enjoyed it. We have to head back immediately after church as John has a business commitment.

  5. Beautiful pictures! Fall is my favorite season. I love the bright colors!

I was wondering if you all would pray for a woman named Jenny? She is a family friend and is very sick. She is so scared and, unfortunately, doesn’t know the Lord Jesus as her savior. I would really appreciate it if you would keep her in your prayers.

    In Christ,

    We will pray for her.
