Saturday, our final day in Colorado, we went for one more hike. We began with a slower pace for the little girls. Abigail and Bethany were so cute and did really well. Eventually, though, Nathan’s family turned around, and John stayed with them a bit to carry Christina a little longer, while the rest of us continued. John caught up to us before we reached the ridge.
Since it was clouding over, most didn’t go on to the top peak, but stayed on the ridge. We took pictures, ate lunch, and enjoyed the rest. Then, we headed back down. Although we heard thunder, some of which sounded pretty close, we didn’t get wet.
We drove safely home Sunday. The trip was an incredible blessing as we enjoyed each other, God’s creation, and quiet days. Now, we’re back to catching up and preparing for our next trip.
Joyfully His,
Sarah

Such wonderful photos! 🙂 I especially enjoyed the ones that show the beautiful mountains in the background, and the ones with the littlest Maxwells in them (well, actually I enjoyed ALL the photos, because they’re all wonderful).
Thank you for taking the time to share your trip with us, and I’m thankful you all had a blessed, safe time enjoying God’s creation. Love, Mrs. Patti 🙂
I love the picture of the majestic mountains and then your parents appearing so small. Reminds me of the magnitude of God’s creation and how we are but a speck compared to it all yet God cares for us so much to send His son for us. Wow! That picture really spoke to my heart today.
Gracias por compartir estas fotos con nosotros.
Las hemos disfrutado mucho.

I’m so glad to hear you all had such a wonderful relaxing time with your family. It’s been fun to see all the pictures–almost like a virtual vacation! 🙂
