Last Week at a Glance

Life is wonderfully busy as we finish the books, prepare for the trip, and yes, squeeze in some projects.

I love seeing answers to prayer. Early last week, it seemed impossible that both books would be almost done by the end of the week. We continued to press forward, working and praying. Saturday evening came, and the progress was unbelievable. Dad and Mom’s book is very close to being finalized, and my book is close too. Praise Jesus! Without Him, we can do nothing!

Jesse, along with help from Anna and Mary, tackled a landscaping project at GiGi’s. The three of them did a great job!

This week, Mary has blessed us ladies by taking over our household responsibilities to free our time for book things. Thank you, Mary!

So, I guess we’re down to two and a half days before blast off. We’re all looking forward to going to the beautiful, spacious West!

Joyfully His,

This was part of the guys’ exercise one day. Not only were they pushing a little girl in the wheelbarrow, there are some weight plates in there too ;).

We had a bus air issue, so John spent a number of hours working on a fix.

Book work: checking Scriptures!
Final read throughs!
More read throughs. One must find a quiet place ;).

This was a branch off the old bush!

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5

  1. I love the wheelbarrow….last year we found a wheelbarrow at the sidewalk. The wheelbarrow exercise is a great idea…but for me I used 4 packs of those big soil packaging. My husband was surprise I could carry them alone. I am not suppose to touch those due to my back but thank goodness for the wheelbarrow.

Glad to hear the books is almost finished.

    Have a safe trip.

  2. praying for safe travels as you head our way! look forward to seeing you on the left side of the country =). blessings!

  3. That branch looks “ouchy.” Hope nobody was hurt by it! Blessings for your upcoming trip.

Love the back of your bus too! Never (happened) to see that side before. 😀 It’s great!

  4. I so enjoy keeping up with the precious Maxwell family! How wonderful that some of the family worked on the Grandmother’s yard. 🙂 Will keep praying for safety as you all travel soon.
    Love, Mrs. Patti

  5. Not sure how much time you will have in the Boise area, but if you’ve got time for a hike, check out the trails to Table Rock. The views of the valley are beautiful from the cross that stands at the top (and you may still be able to drive up there instead of hike to it, I don’t know). Another nice drive is the road to Bogus Basin if you just want to see the terrain. And if you want a bite of local cuisine, I highly recommend finding a good place for finger steaks! Have a safe trip.
Thank you. Right now the time is looking pretty full, but we will see.

  6. Great pictures! If I may ask, how did you get that picture looking down on Anna, Mary, and Christina (3rd from bottom)? It looks like you’re right above them. It’s very good. 🙂
She just holds the camera above them and points it down. It might take a click or two, but she eventually gets it.
