It has rained a great deal over the past ten days, but with that, we’ve also enjoyed cool temperatures. Last Friday’s load-in was on the damp side. But, we’re thankful it wasn’t pouring. Come to find out, New England was experiencing the remnants of a tropical storm: no wonder there was so much rain.
Set up and music practice went smoothly. Friday night, families braved the rain, and we were blessed by their attendance.
Saturday, the sun shone brightly, and it felt so refreshing. The Lord brought families from many surrounding states, including a family who got up very early to drive from Vermont.
There were five families that came from a church in New York City, and they had an interpreter who would translate from English to Spanish. It was really exciting to see!
The conference went well. It is always thrilling to see Jesus working in hearts. I have no doubt that the Lord brings us to each and every stop on our journey for a reason. We pray for lasting fruit: for dads to be strong leaders, for moms to manage their homes well, and for young people who are on fire for Jesus! Eternity is too long to live a complacent life! How are we influencing others for Jesus? It’s an important question.
Saturday evening, Dad had the privilege of being able to share a graduation commencement address, called Don’t Be Average: Be Inspired! The message was incredible.
Now we look forward to today in Greenfield (outside of Manchester). We can’t wait to meet you all!
“Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
