Washing Windows: A Way to Bless Others

Mom had it on her heart to bless Anna Marie, Melanie, and GiGi with window cleaning. She decided we girls could take an hour on Saturday mornings to tackle the project. The first Saturday, Anna Marie’s windows got cleaned. The next Saturday, GiGi’s, and then last Saturday, Melanie’s. We were each equipped with cleaner, rags, and paper towels.

With so many of us working, we flew through the job. What would have taken a young mommy hours to do, we accomplished in one hour. Our windows will be up next, but they’ll wait until after our next trip.

Maybe this will give you some ideas on blessing another young mom. Teamwork is an awesome thing.

Rejoicing in Jesus,
Sarah

The windows that you can pop out make cleaning very simple.

Bethany found bugs in the windowsill, so she ran and grabbed a little broom and dustpan. She knew how to take care of them.

I loved how sweet she looked. She was outside with Aunt Mary, who was working on the front door. So cute.

  1. When my windows are clean, the whole house feels so much cleaner and brighter. You gave a gift that benefited them not only physically, but also emotionally, I’m sure! What a wonderful idea! Melanie and Anna (and Gi-Gi) are so very blessed!

  2. This is an awesome idea and one I can use to bless my neighbour who ha s a brand new baby, and lives next to a house being built. My daughter Madeleine and I, along with her 4 year old, can easily become a window cleaning team. Thank you for the inspiration.

Your all continue to be in my prayers.

  3. What a wonderful way to bless someone! πŸ™‚ Love the cute photos of you all working (and the team photo!). Especially enjoyed the photos of Abigail and Bethany–so precious.

  4. That is fantastic! I sure wish I had a team like you who could come help me with that πŸ˜‰ I have been looking at them wondering how I will ever find the time this year with Faith, her next surgery coming up and the other 8 kids. But God is faithful and I know I will find the time if it needs to be done. I look forward to the season of my life when my girls and I can go and bless people like this. Thanks for the inspiration.

    love,
    Monica in Mich.
