HTML: Step One and Two in Website Design, ITonRamp

Just a quick post to let you know that Joseph has scheduled his website design courses, and the first one is coming up soon!

JosephInstead of the ten-week course he taught last year, he split it into two classes. Step One, a five week course, begins April 15th, while Step Two, a six week course, starts June 3rd. Lord willing, he plans to add an advanced CSS course later this year. So, if you’re looking to take that one, the background of Step One and Two are suggested. (As a side note: if you took the HTML 10 week course last year, Step One and Two are nearly the same thing, so you don’t need to take it again.)

We’re excited about this opportunity for young people and parents alike. The courses equip those who take them with useful skills for creating awesome websites.

ITonRamp.com is here to help!

  1. I would definitely like to take the Step One course sometime in the future but I’m currently working on finishing up the A+ with Nathan. I hope Joseph will be offering this again later this year.

The schedule has been very difficult to arrange around our traveling. The only possible time is end of year around the holidays and we have found that to be a difficult time. At this time, there is no way to tell.

  2. I took this HTML class last year and loved it!!! It was so much fun and very practical. I loved being able to put to use the things I learned right away, and I have even built my own website since. I would definitely recommend this class:) Thank you so much for making it available to us!

  3. I am interested in taking step one, and possibly the additional classes. I would like to know more about Joseph’s background (i.e. certifications, qualifications, etc.) concerning website design & programming before enrolling. I read about Nathan’s background on ITonRamp, but did not find one for Joseph.

I’ll copy the text here for you.

Joseph has been involved with computers since a very early age. When he was eight years old, he became proficient with graphics editing in Photoshop. Two years later, he began to learn programming using an object oriented Pascal language – Delphi. A couple of years later, he was using Visual Basic and programming for the PocketPC. Visual Basic.NET was next to be learned in 2002. At fourteen, he passed the examinations for his A+ certification. Following his A+, he learned Visual Studio with ASP.NET and C# – his programming environment of choice. His credentials primarily are in the work that he has done: such as ChoreWare (a website to help families create chore systems, featuring AJAX and some complex scripting), ScheduleBreeze (web software to help families create schedules, featuring jQuery, AJAX, web services). He works full time for the family businesses doing creative design, web front (HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery) and backend (C#, PHP) programming, database (MySQL) and server (Windows) administration.

    Joseph’s Certifications:
    A+ Certified
    Magento Certified Developer +
    Zend Certified Engineer (PHP language)
