What One Might See

After a restful night, we began our trek this morning. Our view was filled with many interesting sights. A strong wind made it a challenging driving day for Dad. We are grateful for the Lord’s protection.

We stopped for the evening in Midland, and we’ll drive the rest of the way to El Paso tomorrow. The temperatures are in the 70’s, an amazing difference from Kansas weather. In fact, we’re running the ACs tonight!

The delicious smell of seasoned chicken fills the bus as it it heating up in the electric skillet. We are settled into our home-away-from-home for the evening. How delightful.

Definitely Texan!
Definitely Texas!
You might think this was a bike race, but apparently it wasn't, because Mom saw some of the bikers had turned the opposite direction.

The only problem? We discovered we picked up san burrs on our shoes.

  1. Aha, so you picked up some hitchhikers along on your shoes, eh?
Well, that’s what Dad calls them.

  2. Spring will be here before we know it, I’m trying to enjoy winter while it’s still here.

  3. Hope you enjoyed Texas. Sad that I missed you

  4. Great pics! The bike’s may have been in a sanctioned ride. My husband rides in these. Quite often one single race will include several distances for example 25m, 50m, 100m. Those doing the shorter distances will turn off and go on a different route or turn around.
