Often, at the beginning of a new year, resolutions are made. Perhaps some of your goals seem hard or unattainable.
This reminds me of when we climbed Mt. Elbert. The summit I was initially aiming for didn’t turn out to be the real summit. It took encouragement and determination to continue on (i.e. how many false summits would there be?!). With Mt. Elbert, we couldn’t see the end result, but we knew the summit was there. I love Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
May each of us be determined to “… press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14)
