On Christmas Eve, we did our traditional Christmas program. It is a time of reading Scripture and singing Christmas carols.

Christmas morning, we, along with several other families, went up to the nursing home and shared through music. It was such a joy to spread Christmas cheer to them!

As we marvel in the miracle of the Lord Jesus’ sacrifice for us, may we also rejoice in Our

Creator (Isaiah 40:28)
Redeemer (Job 19:25)
Sustainer (Psalms 55:22)
Provider (Genesis 22:8)
Protector (Psalms 17:8)
Saviour (Isaiah 43:11)

Rejoicing in the One Who is Worthy,
Sarah

“… My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.”
Luke 1:46-47

  1. Did you all have the little ones set out the nativity scene this year?
    >>>>>>>>
This particular one is only set out for the “program” and then put away.

  2. Thank you for giving the link for your Christmas program. The church I attend now doesn’t do a traditional Christmas Eve service (we attend the traditional service on Sundays). I prefer the traditional hymns and carols. We might use this next year. What do you do for New Year’s or New Year’s Eve?

    New Year’s Eve we pray.

  3. What a wonderful post! 🙂 I really enjoyed reading about the Maxwells’ Christmas, and loved all the photos (you all look great). I am so glad you all do so much for those precious folks at the nursing home. I remember my precious Mama’s last Christmas (she was in a nursing home then) and how it thrilled all the residents when visitors would play music, hand out little gifts, and visit. Love, Mrs. Patti

  4. I love this post 🙂 Thank you guys so much for being the godly example young moms like myself, needed through out this year. I can’t begin to tell you the difference it has made in my life and my family’s.I know, now that it is possible for me to be a loving wife, homemaker, and organized homeschooling mom because not only did i read your books but i saw the fruit of the Lord Jesus in your lives. Thank you so much!!
    Many blessings,

  5. The ladies all look so nice. How fun to have little ones around, especially at Christmas. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Right now it’s snowing very prettily here and poor Mom is down on the couch with a cold.
We’re hoping she’ll be better tomorrow.

    Happy New Year! Love, Rebecca

  6. Such sweet times with loves ones! I am so glad that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year from us to your family.

    In Christ,

    Lori

  7. You all have had a lovely Christmas, and everyone looks so beautiful and peace filled. This evening we will be at mom’s care center and I’ll be playing the piano for the residents. I say we in hope that Mr. Phil is feeling well enough to go too. Happy New Year to you all. You truly are a blessing to those that know you

    Blessing, Mrs Mari

  8. A couple years ago, the girls received framed flowers to go on their bedroom wall, I was wondering where you got those? We have been looking for decorations similar to those.

    Thanks!
