A Wreath + Flowers + Creativity = A Christmas Decoration

Last week when Joseph was in Kansas City, he stopped at Hobby Lobby and picked out supplies for a Christmas wreath for his house. Then Mary spent time that evening creating a beautiful Christmas decoration with Joseph’s supplies. The end result was a gorgeous wreath that Joseph hung above his front door.

Joseph and Mary both have quite an artistic flair, and I love seeing how they use those talents.

Serving the Wonderful Counselor,
Sarah

The finished product.

“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,
upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
Isaiah 9:7

  1. The wreath that hangs above my fireplace is a homemade wreath. So is the large one that hangs on my patio. My brother has worked in home decor/interior design retail for most of his professional career, and the wreaths/swags/mantle garlands made by his in-house florist are extraordinarily expensive (think $500+ at a minimum), so I bought a good base wreath, some pretty picks and such, and made a pretty bow. I am thinking about changing out the bow and using some double-faced satin for this year. I am glad that Joseph is making steady progress on his house, and I hope we see more of his improvements in the future. Is he planning on reworking the landscaping?

Hopefully, in the Spring, but with traveling it might be difficult.

  2. I just thought it was interesting that Joesph and Mary were the two involved in this Christmas post. Seems about right. πŸ™‚ Beautiful wreath!
