Transformation on Joseph’s House

We had good weather this week in Kansas so Joseph took the opportunity to work on the outside of his house. Each day the look of the house changes so much!

First Joseph tore off the siding and the brown shingles from the front area. Then he and Jesse stapled up the green house wrap. After the guys sided the front, they took down the “porch.”

Progress!

Love,
Sarah

Joseph found an abandoned egg in a nest.
The “porch” is gone! I missed the take down for pictures, but doesn’t it look amazing?

“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Psalms 90:17

  1. I sure like the new siding. Wasn’t sure if they would change that, but glad they did. Looks alot nicer than the old brown siding.

  2. Great job on the house Joseph and family! It really seems to be coming along nicely. It is such an inspiration to see siblings working so hard to help their brother without expecting anything in return. Most people work hard for the money. For them it’s a sacrifice working day to day for little money or tips for pay. But for your family it is NOT about money and I find that so refreshing in the world today!

    1 Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  3. Oh- it looks so much better without the brown shingles and the porch! Great call on taking on all that down.
Now the house has much more of a craftsman style look and great curb appeal.

God bless all your hard work!

  4. Stunning! You are doing such a wonderful job transforming your home, Joseph. I enjoy seeing all of the hard work you and your family are doing together. The pictures make it look so quick and easy, but I’m sure it isn’t! =)

  5. Oh how lovely. Joseph’s house looks wonderful. What a beautiful transformation. If I were a neighbor I would be delighted at the work done on this house. Many, many blessings to you! We enjoy following this project! It’s an encouragement for our own home! :o)

  6. Wow! They are working so hard and making amazing progress! 🙂
Thanks for this update and photos.

  7. Oh, it looks so nice and new!!!! I know you are all very proud of Joseph and thankful for his ability to make this house into a home!!

  8. Praise the Lord! I like the changes in your house. Personally I like the lightening up that you did with the color of the siding! It is a blessing to see you and your family work together on projects. Keep up the good work!

  9. I like the new look — it really picks complements the brick, which I think is pretty. I liked the shingled look, but they were too dark and probably weren’t worth the trouble of painting. Looks great!

  10. I agree that the lighter color is better. More cheerful. It blends nicely with the house next door too.

I’m continuing to pray for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Some of my friends in NY are still without heat or electricity and it is very cold there.

  11. I totally agree. In my opinion the new siding looks so much better. Great job! The house is coming along so nicely.
