Our fifth weekend conference for this fall is done. We arrived in Hammond about 2 p.m. on Friday. The church that allowed us to use their building was extremely hospitable and accommodating. The location was perfect, because it was right off the interstate. Since the temperature was almost 90 degrees, we were also grateful to plug in, so we didn’t have to run the generator for air conditioning in the bus.
Set up went smoothly. Jesse and John work together to unload items for the book tables, and they do an awesome job. It has seemed the set ups have gone very smoothly on this trip. The process has become quite streamlined.
The Lord brought people to the conference from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and of course, Louisiana. Our coordinator’s family had attended a conference two years ago in New Orleans, and it was a joy to see them again.
We met some wonderful families, and we delighted to hear how the Lord is working in their lives. With there being eight of us, opportunities abound to have many conversations. Then, at the end of the weekend, we get to share with each other who we talked to and what we learned about them. Hearts were again open and enthusiastic to what was shared.
I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the Lord has had His Hand on each conference. We delight in serving Him.
Following Jesus,
Sarah

abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us.”
Ephesians 3:20Â
It looks like things are going wonderfully! I will be praying that you are kept safe and that the rest of your trip is fruitful. You all radiate Jesus’ love! In Christ, Grace
So thankful things are going smoothly for you all. I enjoyed all these photos, and I feel certain those who attended the Conference were blessed by your ministry. Continued prayers as you travel and serve our Lord. Love, Mrs. Patti 🙂
Beautiful pictures, as always. What a blessing to meet and encourage so many families across the country! Praying for you all as you continue on your trip.
We sure hope that someone will schedule a conference in the Northern California for Spring 2013! We attended a conference a few years ago and would love to go again! I have four children in diapers right now- so I don’t know that I’d be up to coordinating one myself 🙂 Your family is such a blessing to us!

Wow thanks so sharing that awesome scripture verse! Its so encouraging!
I would have loved to have been at this conference! I stumbled across your blog by looking for homeschooling materials and have been following it for the last several months. It always encourages me I read the reports that you post. Be Blessed!!
Thank you Maxwell family! What a blessing it was to attend your conference and be refreshed and challenged! I really enjoyed the interaction with John, Joseph and Jesse. Their servant hearts and genuine concern for those they speak with is evident. Thank you Mr. Maxwell for taking the time to eat lunch with our family. That was so kind of you and I really enjoyed the fellowship. May the Lord continue to use you in this much needed area of casting a vision for families. Your testimony is such an encouragement to our family and we look forward to seeing all of you again. The Lord bless you with the light of the knowledge of His glory in the beautiful face of Jesus Christ.
Because of Jesus,
The K Family

I so enjoyed the conference and learned SO much!!! Through it, God has directed and is leading my life in different avenues… definitely in paths I would not have taken on my own! I am so thankful God brought ya’ll our way, and so thankful for other Christian families who are willing to go and do where God calls… all of you were such a blessing and an encouragement to me! I’m looking forward to seeing ya’ll again!
