A Family Walk … Or A Parade?

Christopher initiated the idea of a family walk last night. The heat of summer has subsided, and the temperatures were very pleasant. For quite a few years, we’ve strolled around the block on Sunday evenings, enjoying fellowship with each other. Our group has been growing, and now we look a little, well, like a parade I guess. This was our last Sunday evening home until the end of October, so the next time we do this, leaves will be crunching under our feet. Delightful.

Maybe you would enjoy a new family tradition.

I love to see Abby and Bethie interact with Joshua. Last night, Bethie bent down and was greeting “Josh,” as she calls him. So sweet.

So happy to see Bethie again.

Don’t you love those sunglasses? They were a baby gift.

Abigail can really fly on her balance bike. I had trouble getting ahead to take the picture, so finally I had to stop her so I could.

“Behold, that thus shall the man
be blessed that feareth the Lord.”

Psalms 128:4Β

  1. How lovely to enjoy some extended family time, and at the end of the day. It is an enjoyable way to wind down and also to just chat and spend time with each other. We do this with our children even though they are now teenagers and don’t need to be supervised on a bike – I well remember those days – and we often hear things that we might not normally. It is a peaceful way to share in your delight at nature and all of God’s blessings. I have been continuing to pray for your family, and Joseph, and for your upcoming conferences. Take care and keep safe, and thank you for the updates. Those babies are growing!

  2. I really enjoyed this delightful post!! πŸ™‚ And your comment about you all resembling a parade is so cute–what a blessing to spend time in fellowship as you enjoy a walk. The little ones are certainly growing and so precious! ~ I must admit that even though I’m very thankful for all four seasons, Fall is my very favorite. πŸ™‚ It’s so nice to have cooler weather and beautiful leaves in the Fall. Love, Mrs. Patti

  3. Ah, fall. Yes! I’m so happy that fall is practically here now. Can’t wait for it to start really looking and feeling like it. Nice family outing.

Your pictures at the continental divide were so nice. Sorry I didn’t mention it. I really liked seeing pictures of the girls. Enjoy your time at home.
