Awaiting

the next baby’s arrival, that is.

Melanie is 9 days out from her due date: an amazing miracle! Thank you for praying for her and Baby. Please continue to lift her up and other blog reader mommies who are expecting soon. Who knows: maybe we’ll have another announcement in a few days. Her contraction activity is picking up a bit.

Love,
Sarah

PS – Abby got a balance bicycle for her birthday. The goal is for the child to learn to balance, and when that is accomplished, the pedals can be added. Pretty neat!

“Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.”

–Isaiah 44:24

  1. Hope it’s soon! Cute pictures. Mary, the burgundy top with the blue skirt looks so cute and pretty. That’s exciting, Abby. A bike! I remember when Dad taught me to ride a bike without training wheels. He kept making me go. I was scared (the tw were my comfort zone) even though one bike I rode, the wheels were several inches off the ground because they got busted! Now I love riding bikes!

Praying for Melanie and Baby Maxwell!

    God bless! Rebecca K.

  2. I’ve been watching for updates and praying for Melanie and baby M.

I’ve never seen a balance bicycle. That’s a really good idea though.

Such beautiful girls–all of them! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I’m so glad to see that Abby had a bicycle helmet on!! Please make sure that it fits properly and is worn correctly, though. I say this because several years my husband was riding through our neighborhood and his a glob of concrete in the street and tumbled over. He broke five bones in nine places and injured his hip socket. The right side of his helmet was badly crushed. He was in hospital for 4 days and off work for a month–and he has a desk job. I still shudder to think what could have happened if he had not been wearing a helmet.

I’ll now climb down from my soapbox. The air is a bit thin up here! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Thank you for this update on Melanie, and I’m continuing to pray for her and Baby. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the cute photos (that balance bicycle sounds like a great idea!)—and I especially like the photo of Mary holding Bethany. Mary is such a lovely young lady and seems to have grown up right before our eyes! ๐Ÿ™‚ Hugs, Patti M.

  5. Happy Belated Birthday, Miss Abby!

I never thought about teaching a child to balance before using the pedals. That is a good idea. I am so glad that Melanie is doing well. Please tell her that we are praying for an easy delivery, a healthy baby, and a swift recovery.

    In Christ,

    Lori

  6. Such great news about Melanie! Congrats on the bike to little Abby. What a neat basket in the front! That brings back memories of my own childhood, and how fun it was to have a basket just like that on the front of the bicycle, for a doll to sit and look out..just the way I see Abby is using her basket. What an exciting time for your family. We’ll be excited to see the second new addition to the Maxwell family soon!

  7. Rejoicing that Melanie’s pregnancy has gone so well and looking forward to that announcement! Praying for her and Nathan daily that all goes well when it’s time!

  8. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm praying for Melanie. I hope everything goes well both with her and the baby.

Oh, Abby looks so cute with her helmet on. Looks like she had a fun time.

And Mary -I swear she gets more beautiful every time I see new pictures of her!

  9. I would be very careful with her on the bike. Her helmet is incredibly loose and not tightened properly at all. She may as well not be wearing one. Please read the instructions before putting that on her.

  10. Can’t wait! Checking back daily to see when the new bundle with arrive. Melanie is such a great Mommy! I know she will do wonderful with 3 blessings.

  11. Praying for Melanie and her baby!

Happy Birthday Abby!!!! Have fun with your new bike!

  12. I’ve never heard of the balance bike but that is a great idea.
So happy that Melanie and the baby are doing well.

Lot’s of excitement at the Maxwell home’s.

    God Bless

  13. How wonderful to see Melanie up and moving and filled with such joy. Please tell her that I sympathize with the aches and pains of very late pregnancy! I’m so excited for her and for the little one that they are able to experience this part of the process. May the waiting be peaceful and filled with delight.

  14. I had to google balance bike, didn’t know what they were. I second what others have said about the helmet, make sure it fits correctly or it won’t protect the head. I have biked in skirts but it is harder than wearing slacks, especially when learning. Maybe culottes could be an option. Hope Abby grows to love biking, it’s great exercise.

  15. What a miracle is right!! Praise God!
We are praying! Thanks for keeping us all posted. What an exciting season for you all.

  16. Praise God for His sustaining grace in keeping this little one in the womb. A true answer to prayer!!! Continued daily prayers for them!
