Joshua was born at 5:53 a.m. and weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces (he’ll be measured later).

Our hearts are full of gratitude to the Lord that He allowed for a wonderful delivery in our home: both Mommy and baby are doing great!

Joshua – “God is my salvation”
Christopher – “Christ bearer”

Our prayer is that Joshua will be a firstborn son whose life is a testimony of his salvation as he embraces the truth of God’s Word, courageously proclaims Christ, and humbly ministers to the needs of those around him.

“But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law… to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” (Joshua 22:5)

Thank you for your prayers, and we covet your continued prayer support as we seek God’s grace to raise Joshua in the nurture and admonition of the Lord…

He is so beautiful and Anna Marie looks wonderful. Thank you for posting his arrival announcement so quickly. The Lord has used your family to bless and encourage us so much – we love you all.   5. Looks like someone is not gonna get much sleep tonight or for quite a few night to come and also congrats to the two cousins Abby and Bethany for now having a new playmate as soon as he is big enough which at 9lbs won’t be too long.

    But most of all congrats to the two new parents Ann Marie and Christopher who will have the many sleepless nights ahead and many diapers to change.

    This was the first chance I’ve had to get on my computer to check and was so happy to see that Joshua Christopher had been born!

    P/S My nephew Joshua was also born on June 2nd. He turned 22 today. 🙂

  10. Christopher & Anna Marie thank you for sharing your blessing with us and allowing us to celebrate God’s goodness with you. With these firsts: first child of Christopher and Anna Marie and first grandson . . . there is so much to give thanks for. Our family is very happy for all of you. I am sure Bethany and Abby are ecstatic over their new cousin. It is a blessing that they are so close to grow up together.

    We are believing that Joshua will grow up to fufill God’s purpose, utilize the talents God has given him – which over time will be discovered, that his parents will keep his heart, that he will learn to love the Lord and trust in the plan that God has for him, that he will be a keeper of the faith and a leader of his home. We believe that he will be a joy to his parents as they raise him in the ways that please God.

    Proverbs 17:6 immediately came to mind when our family saw his sweet face. Steve and Teri, the Lord is filling your table with generations that will serve him, (like olive plants) at your family table. We rejoice with you!

  20. Praise the Lord for this wonderful blessing! Anna Marie looks so beautiful with that sweet little Joshua sleeping next to her. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful news with us. (and so quickly)!
    Our first-born son was also born on June 2nd. David turns 16 today. I pray your beautiful son brings you the endless joy ours has brought to us.

  25. We just got home from our son’s high school graduation and party and I had to check your site before doing anything else. Such GREAT news….the tears have started again lol

  44. I thought she was going to have a boy by the way she was carrying – very low. I had my first baby almost exactly 3 months ago, and I carried the same way – and yep, I had a boy. Actually, I think Melanie will have a boy, too, as she is carrying very low as well. But either boy or girl, her and Nathan’s new baby will be a great blessing.

  48. Yay!! My new nephew was just born 5 weeks early on June 1st and weighed about half that much; but thankfully he is doing just fine. So happy for them!! Praise God!!!
