Will Baby Come This Week?

Anna Marie’s due date is this Saturday! Contractions are kicking in and become more consistent. Last night, when she and Christopher were over, contractions were coming at a steady clip for awhile. Anticipation and excitement is really building as we realize Baby will be making his/her appearance hopefully soon. Of course, contractions slowed down, but we know that this is part of the process.

Love,
Aunt Sarah

Anna Marie made us a delicious coffee cake for breakfast yesterday.

Daddy, Mommy, and Aunt feeling Baby and monitoring contractions.

“Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.”

–Isaiah 44:23-24

  1. How exciting that it’s getting so close! I’m 36 1/2 weeks along with #7 and just starting to have more of the Braxton-Hicks contractions. It’s a wonderful sign that “the real thing” is getting closer. Just remember that as a first-time mom, the average result would be going a week past due date before labor kicks in.

  2. I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see the new baby πŸ˜€
I’m praying for Anna and I hope everything goes well with both mommy and baby during labor πŸ™‚

  3. How exciting! I’ll definitely be praying for a safe and easy delivery for Anna Marie and baby M. He/she will come at the time set for him/her — but I think it’s ok for us to hope it will be this week. πŸ˜‰

I’m also praying for Melanie and their new baby M. It was such a pleasure to see her looking so pretty and healthy at Anna Marie’s shower.

I’ll be watching for updates! πŸ™‚

  4. Sounds like the stork is circling the house!!! I hope Ann Marie has the bags packed and ready to go!!!

  7. I LOVE delivery time because the world finally gets to meet the precious child that God created in His own image. AMAZING! We, here in Georgia, will be praying for a safe, quick and blessed delivery. Also, we will be praying for a healthy baby who nurses and sleeps well πŸ™‚

  8. Wow we are so excited for you, I am anticipating a steady flow of traffic to our computer and your blog site this week and over the next few weeks. We are praying for you all.

  9. Oh, goodie!!! I was just checking the blog to find out if there was any news about them, and then here it was! Praying! Can’t wait! Hope it’s very, very soon! Please keep us updated. BTW, I like the first picture, and Anna Marie has a cute blouse.

    God bless! Rebecca

  10. Life is such a precious gift!! I rejoice with you all, and it is so wonderful to have so many precious ones waiting to welcome this new baby. If we have such anticipation for the children God entrusts to us…it makes me stand in awe of how greatly Christ loves us, and how dear it is to know that we are called, “the children of God.” It is hard to fathom, but also know for certain, that God and His angels rejoice every time a “child” is born into the kingdom of God.

  13. I join others in praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. Babies are God’s greatest gifts.

  14. So exciting. Looking forward to the new addition. Did one of the girls make the maternity top….if they did could they share the pattern? I am sure some girls at your church would love to make beautiful maternity tops like that. Maybe you need a sewing sight πŸ™‚

    Prayers for Melanie too.

I asked her and she combined several patterns. She said there was not a primary pattern that she could refer you to. She’s as good of cook as she is seamstress!

  15. How exciting! Praying that Anna Marie has an uncomplicated delivery and that Baby arrives in his/her timing with minimal intervention. Will definitely be keeping tabs on the blog awaiting anymore news! Prayers being sent to Anna Marie and Christopher and they have this new experience to share!

  16. What an exciting time! πŸ™‚ Continued prayers for Anna Marie, Christopher, and this precious Baby. Eager to read when he/she arrives! Hugs from Georgia, Patti M. πŸ™‚

  18. What a wonderful time!!

Father God, I thank you for this wonderful family and for the new life you have given them. I pray for a safe delivery for Anna Marie and the baby and ask that this baby come with minimal intervention in Your timing. I pray for good health for not only momma, daddy, and the new little one, but for grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins so that they may enjoy these first days with this new sweet one. I pray for a guiding hand on any medical professionals as well as for Anna Marie and Christopher as they start this new part of their lives as parents. I thank you for the influence of Teri and Steve as well as Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton on both Anna Marie and Christopher and for their examples of full reliance on You, Lord. Please bless this sweet family as they share this time together. Amen.

    Love you all.

    In Christ,

    Lori

  19. Sending many prayers for a safe and easy delivery and a healthy mama and baby at the finish. We are all with Anna Marie in spirit as she moves through this amazing transition into motherhood.

I hope Melanie is doing well, the last pictures you had up (from Anna Marie’s baby shower) I was happy to see her up and around and not on bed rest. Prayers for her and her wee one as well.

  20. If Anna & Baby M. can wait until tomorrow, I think May 16th makes a wonderful birth day (in my very subjective opinion!!!). Please tell her I’m praying for a healthy baby and mommy! So excited…

  21. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Anna and Christopher. They must be so excited to welcome their lil’un to their family. I hope Anna’s family is able to visit and see the new baby once she/he is here. Cannot wait to see some photos!

    Take care,

  22. What an exciting time! It’s so lovely to see the happy smiles on the faces of the parents-to-be.
I will pray for health for both baby and Mother.
Can I also say, that coffee cake looks delicious! Would it be possible to get the recipe?

  23. We are so excited about the baby. We will be praying for a safe delivery and will be eagerly awaiting the news!

Is Christopher reading from a Spanish Bible? πŸ™‚

  24. I’m tickled at the smartphone app (presumably) for measuring contractions – I guess there really is an app for everything!

What a delight to know that the next Maxwell grandbaby is almost here! Thoughts and prayers are with you all, for a smooth and safe delivery, and for Christopher and Anna Maria as they transition to their new role as father and mother.

  25. Praying in Australia! Look forwards to hearing when baby comes! The last weeks I have always found are exciting but uncomfortable too. Jesus bless you all as you eagerly wait!!

  26. Such exciting times for all of you. I am keeping each one of you in my prayers. I check the blog daily with happy anticipation. Thank you for sharing these times and keeping us updated with your wonderful posts!

  27. What a precious time. We have been in prayer for the pregnancies and will be for the upcoming deliveries. Thanks for sharing.

  28. Does your Abby know she might share a birthday soon? that would be precious and a most wonderful birthday gift!
    >>>>>>>
It might take her a few years to really appreciate that if it happened. (smile)

  29. I just have to say that both Maxwell daughters-in-law are treasures! They love the Lord, their families, and their homes. The thing I like best is their countenances. They always look so cheerful. It is my heart’s desire for the Lord to give my own son a lady like that (if it is His will for him to be married).
