In a recent reprint of Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit, Joseph redesigned the cover. The inside content is still the same, but the cover has a fresh new look. In addition, we decided to go with the special matte lamination that Sweet Journey has.
Sometimes at conferences, a mom will point to the book, and say that she loves it and reads it every year! Mom writes from practical experience, and this one is no exception. She has been in the trenches homeschooling since 1985 and understands the issues moms face. A special thanks to you moms who are pouring out your lives into the education of your children. It is a sacrifice! I am so grateful to my mom for all she has invested in my life.
Love,
Sarah
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”

I can relate to multiple of readings of this wonderful book. I have read my copy, then loaned it out, read it again, then gave a copy away, purchased another copy, read it again and again. It is one of about 6 books that sit on the corner of my desk for easy access. It is one of the first books I refer new homeschool mothers to. It makes a perfect gift to homeschool mothers that are struggling with understanding how their response sets the tone not only for homeschooling but in every aspect of life. I have become so familiar with it that now I can just go to a “needed section” as reminder or refreshment. Teri’s transparency in life lessons make this more than a good read – it truly reached from her mother’s heart to mine. I am sure that I am not the only one that has felt that way. Joseph the new cover looks terrific… thanks for sharing it with us Sarah! God Bless!
Beautiful cover, Joseph
I like the redesigned cover very much! It has a clean look; very professionally done, Joseph!
I have read the book twice and will read again this summer.
This is my all time favorite homeschooling book! I recommend it to every mom I know. In fact, I think I will pull it out and plan to read it again ( I think I have read it 4x). I bought the study guide that goes a long with it and have yet to do it so, that is going to be on my radar for summer reading. Thanks for publishing such an open and honest book. And thank you for not changing the picture of the children on the front cover! They are so sweet!
This is a wonderful book for all mothers, no matter how their children are schooled. So if some of your blog readers (like me) happen to not homeschool this book will still be a blessing for them and as a result their families.
This is such a terrific book. I tell lots of moms about it and it is even good for those who don’t homeschool. I think every mom should read it!! And I have been able to loan it out to non-believer friends and love that Mrs. Maxwell shares her testimony in the book.
This post made me smile! When I came across this book, I was starting to think that there must be something more to being a stay at home mom and homeschooling my children. I was searching one night when I came upon your site and that book caught my attention. I ordered it and gleaned so much and hungered for more (I ordered more of your books and began to pray for “real life” people around me with similar thinking). But I also still thought it was a bit off….. skirt wearing girls and women, child after child and having a vasectomy reversal, and such conservative standards. That part- NO WAY! We already had never owned a TV in our married life so it was neat to hear more reasons why. We just saw it as a time killer and a putting in of things in our home and minds we didn’t want. Well….. that was 5 years ago. My girls and I have found the freedom and modesty and joy in wearing long skirts alone, our standards have become conservative, our love of God has greatly deepened, my joy and fullfillment in being a wife, homemaking, and homeschooling has grown by amazing leaps, our family has been blessed and God started transforming my heart with this book!!!! And 4 years ago, we had a vasectomy reversal and our expecting our first reversal baby in 3 months! May God bless others with this book as much as it has blessed our family… including the generations to come!!

I have loved all of Teri’s and Steve’s materials and Meek and QUiet Spirit is one of my favorites. And I really love the special matte laminate velvet feel of the new book, Sweet Journey. 🙂 Thanks so much for your ongoing ministry and encouragement. Sometimes we homeschooling moms can really feel like we’re all alone but your writings have strengthened me to stay on course….looking forward to hearing the news of babies and graduations. BTW I was blessed also with a healthy new baby…..at almost 48 years old. 🙂 # 8 and our 7th son 😀
