Babies on the Way Update

I know there have been several asking for baby updates, and you’re right, it’s time!

Let’s start with Melanie. She is currently over half way and is grateful for a fairly non-dramatic pregnancy. She still has to be careful of her activity level being watchful of contractions: no real exercise, limiting trips up and down the stairs, and keeping stress and excitement to a minimum. She still has contractions, but they don’t seem to be very concerning, and the doctor is satisfied with how she is doing. Melanie is on a heavier dose of progesterone, administered by a shot, once weekly. We give them a fair amount of help each week. Mom goes grocery shopping for them and we girls (Sarah, Anna, and Mary) clean their house. From all appearances, Baby seems to be doing fine, is active and has a great heartbeat. We continue to pray that Baby will wait until close to due date before entering the world!

So far, Anna Marie has had an uneventful, smooth sailing pregnancy with normal first trimester nausea. She is about four weeks ahead of Melanie and is excited to be starting into the third trimester. Baby seems very active and to have a great heartbeat.

Both Nathan and Melanie and Christopher and Anna Marie are thankful to the Lord Jesus for their little ones and are looking forward to meeting him/her.

There you have it!

Love,
Sarah

  1. Thank you SO much for updating everyone! I think about everyone and pray for your family daily. I enjoyed meeting you all in person when you were out our way a few years ago in Georgia.

Blessings and Love to you whole family!

  2. Oh, that is such wonderful news!!! I was just going to shoot you an email specifically asking about these two ladies (and I have not forgotten your patterns…just busy days; look for them and some surprises for ya’ll next week. This along with some overdue yard work is on the agenda for Saturday)!

We will continue to stand in the gap for Melanie, Anna Marie, and their little ones.

    Love you all!

  12. Love the photo of those two beautiful mamas! Thank you for the update. It must be a very exciting time for your family — planning baby showers and awaiting the births and decorating a nursery for a new babe. So sweet!

  13. Wonderful news!!! Praying for God’s continued grace and joy upon their pregnancies! I think of Melanie often, as my pregnancies are much like hers. We are finally pregnant again (last pregnancy which ended was 2 years ago- had a reversal 4 1/2 years ago). Not having family around, our children ages (6-13) are doing all the housework and most the cooking. They are huge blessings to me, as I am sure you ladies are to Melanie and family. Praying that things continue to go well.

  18. Yeah! I love pregnant mommies! They are so beautiful and amazing. What a beautiful picture of the two of them. May the Lord continue to bless them and keep them strong.

  19. Thank you for the update on Melanie and Anna Marie. Your family are not the only ones expectantly anticipating the new arrivals! Their radiant faces are answers to many prayers.
What a blessing to see so many unable to contain their joy in expecting babies of their own. It is refreshing to see in a world that devalues life at every stage. May we also have uncontainable joy about our own good news- Salvation through Christ!
