Snow

Our winter has been quite mild, with less than an inch of snow. That changed this morning, when a pretty, white blanket quietly fell on our town. It is a reminder of God’s cleansing over the lives of those who have accepted Him as Savior.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

How can blood make something white? This, my friend, is the beautiful mystery of following Jesus, Who loved you so much, that if it had only been you on this earth, He still would have given His life. Just for you. It is an incredible thing to serve Him. He alone is worthy to be praised.

“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Revelation 5:12

Sarah

What a great daddy!

Bethany was pretty serious all bundled up--but then the smiles came.

The squirrels are grateful for the food provided (sunflower seeds).

  1. Bethany is SO cute! I love how rosy their noses and cheeks get in the cold weather…too cute! 🙂

  2. Aaaawwww! That’s sweet. Yes! Snow. We’re getting ready to make snow cream! Thanks for the post.

Our blood stains, but Jesus blood cleanses! Isn’t that neat?

    God bless! Rebecca K.

  3. Powerful reminder about what the Lord has done for us—Praise His Name! 🙂 Your snow looks lovely—whenever we have any snow in Georgia, it’s a treat! Thanks for sharing those cute photos too. 🙂
    Blessings, Patti M.

  4. I love her little pink nose and cheeks- she is very cute. I also think the sled is cute i have never seen one like that, but then again we don’t have snow. 🙂

How are the mothers-to-be feeling with your cold weather?

We are looking for an update soon.

  5. That picture of Bethany could go on the cover of a magazine. What a great shot you got there, Sarah. Besides the cutest little round face, those adult mittens are just too much. They remind me of all the times we could only come up with one mitten out of a pair, so the boys would have to wear mismatched ones. I know Mom loved watching all the activity from her window and can just see her waving and smiling.
    Love you,
    Aunt Tami

  6. Sooo sweet.

Yes, when one sees the pureness of fresh snow you are amazed by the power of Jesus’ blood that can make us pure.

  7. Oh! She is just precious!!! Now, that is the life…wrapped up snug and warm while Daddy pulls the sled.

  8. I love Bethany’s rosy nose! She is so cute! I’ll bet that experience will be one she will remember as one of her earliest — snow with Daddy!

  9. How precious Bethany is with her red nose and cheeks! I so miss those days when I would bundle my children up to go outside, and pulling them around on a sled.

Praise Jesus for His sacrifice and cleansing power of His blood to make us pure and sinless before God! Thank you Jesus!

  10. Seeing Bethany in these pictures brought a huge smile to me. So precious.

We too have had a mild winter, in fact today is comparable to a summer day, in fact I believe it was colder out on the 4th of July last year. God certainly does not let us grow too comfortable with weather patterns does he? He controls it all for us.

    –Blessings, Mrs. Mari
