Vaporizer Followup

Thank you to everyone who commented on my vaporizer questions. I enjoyed seeing that I’m not the only one that has struggled with picking the perfect unit.

I found your answers informative and helpful. One thing I learned is that using purified water is a good thing.

I have ordered a Crane Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier. It seemed to have the best mix of features for the price.

My favorite recommendation was the “Heaven Fresh HF 707 Digital Ultrasonic Cool & Warm Mist HUMIDIFIER” — it looks like an amazing unit – but was more than I was wanting to spend. In hind site, since this Crane is now the fourth humidifier we’ve bought, I’ve already spent the equivalent of the Heaven Fresh.

  3. I am so glad you found one. I hope you, Melanie and the girls are well and managing this crazy weather. I have no idea what KC is dealing with, but this week, we will be in the 60s…in the beginning of February! The weather is beautiful, and it does wonders for me because I am able to get outside in the sunshine more. But, it is really wreaking havoc on my sinues and those of my kids!

    Here is to a healthy end of the winter and beginning of spring!

  4. Oh how God cares about the little things. The day before your original post I had been cleaning our vaporizer. The Lord provided it for us at a yard sale; it had been a workhorse for us for many yrs. It seemed to need a little extra cleaning so I put both vinegar and baking soda in the water chamber, closed the cap tight and shook. Yep, it exploded! I appreciated everyone’s suggestions and knowing what you ended up buying. My mom called last week from the store asking if I knew anything about vaporizers she need a new one. I went right to the blog post and it helped her get one too.

  5. Your vaporizer post was timely for me as well. We just moved from FL to AZ and the dry climate is taking it’s toll. We have never needed a vaporizer before and recently have been told we need to purchase one. We also purchased the Crane drop shaped one. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I think it will be a good choice for the money. Thanks.
