Pictures

We had a wonderful week of celebrating Jesus’ birth, while also having extra family time, which we always love! The night before Christmas Eve (sorry, no pictures!), we first read all the prophesies of Jesus birth on the Old Testament and the accounts of the nativity in the New Testament.

We had a delightful Christmas, and as always we enjoy our family celebration on Christmas Eve! We find great joy in giving gifts that are practical, and this year was no exception. We buy gifts for each other in teams. Each team is a pair (with the exception of Nathan’s family) buys gifts for everyone and also for their partner. We love to go shopping with our partner to find the right gifts for each person, and then we usually wrap them together!

Many times people ask what we give as gifts and here are a some things that were given this year: clothes, kitchen items, car things, bible cover, tools, house decorations, and calendars made from family photos. On Christmas evening, we did our traditional Christmas program! It is always special to read the Scripture of Jesus coming to earth and sing the Christmas carols that coincide with the Scripture verses.

  1. Happy New Year, Maxwell Family! Thank you for sharing those pictures! Enjoyed them soooo much! Sarah, the children got Winter Days for Christmas and I’ve been reading it out loud to them in the evenings. The other night, as we read chapter 2 at supper time by candle light. But so far, we all think that chapter 3 is the BEST 🙂
Mrs. Maxwell, THANK YOU for writing Sweet Journey. I just finished reading it yesterday and I can’t wait to have to time to write and share with you what a blessing it was to me.
May God continue to bless your family this coming year as you serve Him!
    love,
    Jaynee

  2. I just love the traditions you all have at Christmas. The little girls are so cute and Anna Marie is doing a great job keeping her baby bump hidden so far. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the Maxwell’s in 2012

    Happy New Years!

  3. I love the pictures~ they are very nice! I love Sarah and Anna’s outfits; the black jacket, and black and red skirts. They are very pretty!

  4. Happy New Year! Hopefully our copy of Winter Days will arrive tomorrow or Tuesday. Am excited for you all for this year! God bless! I like your outfits in the first picture, Sarah and Anna. Looks like Anna Marie, Abby, and Mrs. Maxwell have matching dresses. Rebecca K.

  5. Beautiful family celebration. Christopher and Anna Marie are glowing, yes both are sharing the pregnancy glow for the world to see. Someone else mentioned that we, your readers, have not seen Anna Marie’s baby bump yet? This new year will be filled with new baby sights, feelings, and sounds reminding us how very blessed we are to carry into this world our new babies.

Happy New Year to you all!!

    Blessings, Mrs. Mari

  6. Lovely pictures! The red and black plaid skirts are striking, especially with the black sweaters. I don’t see Melanie in any of the pictures–praying she is well. Also, did someone make the dresses for Teri, Anna Marie, and Abby?

Nathan, Melanie and the girls were at her parent’s house that evening. I believe Teri made those years ago.
