Winter Days is Here

With great excitement we share that Winter Days with the Moodys, book #7 in the series, is available! This is, I believe, the first book to be released at the “right” season. In fact, the book begins soon after Thanksgiving, so it truly is exactly “on time.” Each book is an incredible process, and I felt the Lord’s Hand every step of the way. I am grateful to each of my family members for their support and encouragement as they too have heavily invested in the book.

Winter Days with the Moodys

Here’s what one mom recently shared after reading a “pre-release” version of Winter Days.

My daughter’s whole attitude changes while reading these books. She learns from the attitudes and experiences of the Moody children, and she imitates the godly character traits that she sees in them. I have watched my daughter’s actions and reactions change in ways that honor God, and it is a result of the good influence of the Moody family.

As a mother, I am very challenged by the parenting skills of Mr. and Mrs. Moody. I find that God uses the Moody parents to shine light on areas in my own parenting that need to be reshaped by His hand.

Finally, my children are able to read books about a family whose lifestyle and values are like ours. The Moody family is very similar to our own homeschooling, “larger-than-typical” family. The Moody series is the only fictional work I have found which parallels the real blessings, challenges, and experiences that our family faces.

In our family, we have tried to implement many of the tools provided by Titus 2. The Moody books refer to ChorePacks and scheduling in a very positive light which encourages my children to embrace the implementation of these in our home. As a mom, the Moody books have really helped me to see how the Titus 2 resources “play out” in a “real” family setting. — Kelly

  1. Yay!!! Can’t wait to read it!!! That is neat that it came out at the same season! God’s timing is always perfect!! Around Thanksgiving, I read the Thanksgiving chapters in both of the Autumn Moody books. I really, really like the cover!

    God bless! Rebecca K.

We have your Simple Faith Trust and Obey music cd in our car along with our favorite ones, and we have been listening to it a lot. We have been blessed by it! Glad you all made one!

  3. So exciting!!!!!!! I can’t wait to read it! Thank you so much for following the Lord’s leading to write these books, Sarah :)!!!!!!!

  4. Thank you so much for this book series, Sarah. I just ordered Winter Days with the Moodys for my daughter who will be 8 on her Christmas Day birthday. She will be so excited to find that it has been published! I agree with many of the compliments in the mother’s review that you posted. It is wonderful for my family to enjoy a wholesome book series about a Christian, homeschooling family. I wanted to add that years ago my oldest daughter was challenged to begin her own quiet time with the Lord reading God’s Word in the mornings at age 7 after reading about the Moody children’s morning quiet time. My husband and I had not yet considered encouraging this independent daily reading with our daughters at such a young age, but thanks to the inspiration from your books she and our middle daughter began this habit. They have now completed several years of reading the Bible in a year from a children’s paraphrase and now our oldest (also named Sarah!) has read the complete New Testament. Thank you for how God used your words prayerfully written for His glory to point our daughters towards His Holy Word! God bless you!

  5. My daughter will be so excited when she finds out Moody Book #7 is here! These books are such a blessing!! Thank you, Sarah!

  6. I was worried about your grammar at first (Winter Days is Here) …then as I read I decided you knew what you were doing afterall 🙂

  7. I am so excited. I just ordered it for my daughter for Christmas. I am not even going to tell her it is out. She will be so surprised and delighted. She has read the other books at least 5 times each. She loves these stories! Each time she gets a book though, I do not allow her to read it until I have read it to all the children. We usually read them in a day or two as we will get so into the story and read away (my children are ages 6-13!). The 13 year old tells me that he thinks that he is a little old for them, but he listens intently and doesn’t leave the room for a moment while I read aloud 🙂

  8. Oh WOW..a hearty congratulations to you Sarah for finishing off the book, we imagine the labour that you put into it & rejoice with you over another completed book – it might be the right season in some parts of the world!! -smile- (summer starts down under in a few days)
We look forwards to it being made available at the distributors down here soon, hopefully in time for Christmas!! My husband is reading through your other books with the children before bed, it’s one of the children’s favourite times of the day to sit around the loungeroom with dad reading!

  9. Thank you all for the comments. It is exciting to me to “hear” enthusiasm :-). Mrs. Renee, how thrilling that your girls are having their time in God’s Word each morning. Mrs. Jennifer, I hope you all are blessed by the book. Mrs. Melanie, I didn’t think about different seasons for other countries, but you’re right.

  10. How exciting, Sarah! 🙂 You are doing such a mighty work for the Lord by writing these books for children. May the Lord always bless you and your words as you write for Him.
    Hugs from Georgia, Patti M.

  11. I am sooo excited. After reading this, I immediately told my sisters and we all requested permission from our mom to “edit” our Christmas lists so we could add this to it!! Thanks for all your hard work on these books, Sarah. Although my sisters and I are getting older and our schedules are becoming more difersified this is the one book, we will all make time for, so that we can listen to our mom read it aloud!

  12. My daughter is so excited to read this new book. I ordered it just last week and received it already. She can’t wait to open it and see what is in store next for the Moody’s. Thank you so much for writing books that I know my daughter will love and that are truly wholesome and glorify God. Thank you again!

  13. I ordered the book the other day and I can’t wait for it to come in! God bless you Sarah for your servant’s heart!

  14. Sarah,

I recived your new Moody book in the mail yesterday from Rainbow Books here in the UK and I think it is the best yet. So exciting and also so challenging. It really inspired me to witness more and get some tracts. Also i loved the surprises. It is so nice to read wholesome books even if I am a 29 yr old single living with my parents. It gives me the vision of how I want to bring up my children and how I want to be as a Godly woman. Will you be writing any more after spring days with the moodys? Also what I like especially is the way that you feel like you are there with the family. Thank you for writing these books.
There is definite talk and prayer going into the next Moody book.

    God bless
