Uriah Makes It In

The highway the Charlotte church is on is very busy, and we couldn’t make the turn to get across the highway as it was on the opposite side of a divided road. So, we had to find a way to turn around and come back the opposite direction.

There are two driveways to the church. One was obviously not going to work, with trees, and the second one, well, was very narrow with a ditch on both sides making it difficult to get in. The first attempt our wheel was too close to the edge of the ditch so we stopped, and Dad got out to assess the situation.

We would need to temporarily block both lanes of traffic to straighten out and come into the drive on a more direct route. Thankfully, there was a traffic light about a half mile up the road and so the cars were grouped with a space in between.

Joseph and Jesse walked up the road to flag cars down in the event there wasn’t sufficient time to complete the maneuver.

When the break occurred, it was almost enough time and only the lead vehicles had to be delayed briefly.

All is well. Thank You, Lord Jesus.

First try.

Backing up.

  1. Welcome to Charlotte Maxwell Family! Our family was so looking forward to meeting you this evening, but we had to unexpectedly help out my Mom & Dad who live next door to us.

We’ll be praying that you have a wonderful time here, that many hearts are touched, and that everything you do will glorify God this weekend! 🙂

  2. Oh goodness! What a hassle driving in there, but so glad it was done safely. I was so sad when I learned that your family had just been in our family’s area [here in Charlotte, NC] — but hopefully we can meet you all soon! What other areas [around here] will your family be at next? We’d like to know in advance for next time! We will definitely plan to go!

So blessed by your ministry. We pray for more blessings for you guys. 😀

That is why we have our speaking listed in each Corner so families in the area will be aware of it. Corners and the website are the best way to be informed on speaking invitations.

    God bless.
    Steve
