Pictures

The Lord has been blessing our time, and it has been a joy to experience God’s Creation and Majesty!

Our Internet connection at the cabin is very slow, but we came into town, so here are quite a few pictures. Most Joseph took, and all except two, are from Monday.

Remember, you can click into any picture to make it larger.

At the end of our picnic lunch, an elderly man, who had been fishing, fell. Dad and Mom were nearby, and the guys ran over to help. The man had cut his face quite badly on the rock, but through the whole thing, he was laughing and talking. We were able to supply his wife with a few items from our first aid kit. Believe it or not, he wanted to continue fishing!

And this final picture is from Tuesday. We’ll share later about what Tuesday’s event was.

“Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

I’m guessing they put the lumber there as a haven for the chipmunks.

Can I ask a question? I am currently saving for an SLR camera and am leaning toward a nikon (i noticed the ones in your pics are nikon). Your pictures are SO gorgeous! I know much of it is the photographers skill…but I am also wondering what model(s) of the nikon you have and are pleased with. I would be so grateful if you would share your info with me!!!!

Canons are as good or better. Joseph was using Christopher’s D300. Since Christopher photographs weddings, he has invested in some nice equipment.

Did the chipmunks actually come right up to you?! That is amazing!

The chipmunks will climb on you to get the food. There was one squirrel that bit a lady while we were there. The chipmunks are as friendly as can be.

  12. Hi Maxwells – looks like you are enjoying Colorado! We always love going there. We got back from Europe at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning due to a 2 hour flight delay in Atlanta. Had a super time with good weather and saw some wonderful sights. Had a great group of 46 on our tour and enjoyed the 3 different cities. See you soon! Wave to my hometown as you drive home.

  14. In the second to last photo, was there a filter on the camera? The lighting is so unusual. All the photos are lovely but when I came to that one, I got goosebumps. Nicely done!
