Consider the Lilies

“Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Luke 12:27).

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:8).

  1. Thank you for the beautiful picture!! I needed a reminder of what a beautiful place God’s creation is given the two slab leaks under my house that was found this week.

  2. Great shot and verses!
I reconized the Isaiah verse…my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class has been going through Isaiah this past year, and it’s been very interesting. It’s also been helpful, like memorizing the Isaiah 41:10 ( I believe, but not positive) ” So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God…” which I remembered while in our hallway during the horrible, destructive tornados in Alabama. It’s named the 2nd most deadliest storm in U.S. history.
We’ve been praising God that only our power was out for a few days, and nothing horrible happened to us or our house…unlike some people, whose homes were leveled, had roof damage, etc..
