Oklahoma Bound

Well, except for a little “oops”! Our friends, Dave and Liz, are coming too (in their vehicle), and we just realized we forgot our passports :-). Thankfully, we were only a half hour away from home when this was realized, so, John and Dave are going to make the small trip back, and the rest of us will continue on, with an ETA of about 2:30 in Oklahoma City.

We had lots of help with audios!
Liz
Lots of Encouragement albums!
If possible, we try to fit some cleaning in before we leave, but it doesn't always happen. This time, Liz was an incredible help!
Mom
Loading the bus, with Dave's help.
John
Last minute bus things
Bible time at Christopher and Anna Marie's last night.
Anna, making banana bread at 9 last night.
Praying before we left this morning.

A very special thank you to Anna Marie who did lots of ironing to help us! Thanks, Anna Marie!

We said good-bye to all the relatives around 8 this morning, and then headed on our way! By the time we get back to Kansas, spring will be in full swing.

Thank you for praying for us. We desire to be used of the Lord, and we are in prayer for our first conference tonight.

Blessings,
Sarah for all the rest

“I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only” (Psalms 71:16).

  1. A big early welcome to the Sooner State! The weather is very pretty here, and the red buds are blooming…a sure sign of an Oklahoma spring! I am looking forward to your conference and meeting you all. I cannot imagine a better way to end a long, hectic week and prepare for the upcoming week.

    In Christ,

  2. Praying for you! Have a blessed, fruitful trip!

    God bless! Rebecca K.

    P.S.
    September 16th and 17th! Excited!!!!!

  3. Our prayers are with you all as you begin your journey. Now, who was the clever person who remembered the passports? May God bless the conference this weekend in Oklahoma offering encouragement to you and all who attend.

Let us all remember in our prayers, the country of Japan and all the people who have been affected by the devastation. Even during difficult times, we know that God is with us through it all.

Mom remembered them. Yes, Japan needs our prayers!

  4. Prayers are with you for safe travels and for the hearts you reach at the conference.

I have missed staying touch. Mom has had 3 strokes and is now in a nearby nursing home. Zak and I attended the family run worship service on Sunday and the praise and worship service on Wednesday evening. I thought of you all the entire time. What a blessing this family is, and the father Victor preached a great sermon.

    Blessings, Mrs. Mari

  5. Ok, I have a question…..can you please tell me what Liz was using to clean the tile floor with? lol We are in a home that has hardwoods almost everywhere and then tile……no carpet anywhere! I thought I’d love that, but honestly it’s become just a bother because I can’t seem to keep it clean very well. I’ve heard of steam mops and was curious if that’s what she used? lol Anyway, that was quite off topic, but I had to ask! 🙂

Blessings to you all as you travel and share all the Lord desires! 🙂

I’m not sure of the exact brand, but it’s just a simple vacuum that does non-carpeted floors and also carpet. We use it on our tile floors and the few rugs we have. We do have a little steam mop that we use sometimes too.

  6. Hi Sarah!

I’m praying for this conference and for the rest of your trip! I always enjoy reading your posts while you all are on the road. I pray the Lord blesses with much fruit!

I have a question… and I know you are busy so answer when you can. Where do you ladies find your long skirts? The length is perfect (and hard to find)!

    Thanks,
    Trish

We find most of our skirts at Christopher&Banks, especially on sale. One time, we bought one for $5 at one of their outlet stores, but generally we can purchase them on clearance for $15. We also buy skirts at thrift stores. Hope this helps!
