Another Marathon Night

This time, with the earlier start, the crew was able to make it for thirteen hours! Praise the Lord for His strength to carry on. Great progress was reached, with recording several more songs. We still have two more dates scheduled, and quite possibly next Monday, the bulk of the recording will be done. That doesn’t count all the mixing and mastering! We are so grateful for your prayers and truly felt them.

So many controls.

“The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord” (Isaiah 38:20).

  1. Your recording is coming along so well. What a joy to be doing this as a family and your plans to share your music with the community. I know I can hardly wait to get the cd.

Will you be doing the mixing and mastering on your own (which I would not be surpised as you are the most amazing family I know when it comes to doing projects.) If you do need any “help” give us a call as my oldest son does it for a living.

I hope you ar able to get some rest after your long day.

Your offer is very gracious. We will be using the studio engineer to mix and master who has worked with us all along. He has gotten to know our preference and vision for the music. Bless you Sister.

  2. How do you get such good pictures, Sarah?! I don’t understand how you got the first one without standing on some awfully high stool.

I didn’t take any of the pictures: the others did :-).

  3. Wow! Thanks for the photos, they are so interesting. Praying for health and strength for you guys.

    Merry Christmas!

  4. Great! Do you have an idea of when it will be complete? If not, that’s okay.
Hope everyone is doing well! Hope you’ll have a blessed, peaceful Christmas.

Hope the happy newlyweds are doing really fine!

Have you had any snow yet?

We would like it complete in a couple months, but time will tell. No snow that has amounted to anything.

    God bless! Rebecca K.

  5. I just love these recording photos! The control board (is that what they call it?) alone is just overwhelming to me and I can’t imagine all the complexity that goes into making these recordings! I like the lighting, too. Really makes the importance of what you are doing seem all the more personal. Best blessings on your next two sessions! I imagine you are one tired bunch by the time each one is over!

  6. What kind of songs do you do? What is your music standard? We have traditional music standards. Do you sing or is it just instrumental?
    >>>>>>>>
Hymns and some story songs accompanied with guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and bass. We consider our music conservative.
