Thank you so much for praying for our night of recording. The Lord blessed and much was accomplished even after a rusty start. We have much of the recording done and there’s just a few vocals to finish up. Lord willing, we will be heading back a week from Monday to finish all of the recording and then the mixing process will start.
Getting tired yet, Anna? When Nathan, Melanie, and the girls popped in for a visit, they added a renewed spark to the group!"Aunt Anna, would you take a picture of me eating my suckah?" Abby enjoyed watching the whole process of recording!  Â  Â3:00 A.M. - Still Goin'! I think he's looking a little tired.
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.â€Â (Psalms 98:4)
We are back at the recording studio tonight. It wasn’t going very well and we realized we hadn’t asked for prayer. For those still up we would be grateful for your prayers.
God bless.
Steve
“For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me†(Psalms 31:3).
Christmas is always a special time to gather as a family. Below you’ll find some pictures from Friday and Saturday. It was a joy to be together, and Friday evening, we had a mini-Christmas program together, reading God’s Word, singing, and putting the nativity together. Little ones add a special spark to the celebration.
It snowed a little bit at the beginning of our celebration (Friday morning). As Abby was giving out presents, she would hurry to the individual, saying in her cute two-year-old voice, "I have a present for you (insert relative's name) ."Â Abby helped Nathan and Melanie wrap presents, because they wanted to instill in her a love for giving, just as my parents have done with each of us.I gave Christopher and Anna Marie their overdue wedding gift: a photo album (digital and then printed) of Christopher's life thus far!Nathan and Melanie made a photo calendar for Dad and Mom.Grandma playing doctor with Abby. This post will not lack for Bethany pictures.Aunt Sarah and BethanyNathanNotice the bib?Joseph designed a new banner to be hung in our entryway--it was a total surprise for Dad.Playing with Uncle Joeshesh (aka Joseph)Sarah and MaryHelping in the kitchen. We had a special time together in God's Word and singing Christmas Eve night. The two A'sAbby helped placing each person in the nativity. Each nativity piece was wrapped in tissue paper with a number attached to it. Thank you to those who have been praying for the Moody book project. The book is written, and I’m fully in the editing stage. I’m very grateful for the prayers as I desire every word written in the book to be what the Lord Jesus wants it to be.
Sarah for the family
“And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them” (Luke 2:20).
Merry Christmas, from the Maxwells. We pray that your day is filled with the joy that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas.
Love, Sarah for all the Maxwells
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11).
We went to the nursing home this morning to have an informal Christmas service. Our friends, the C. family, joined us, as well as Nathan, Melanie, and the girls!Joseph and John led singing and had two little helpers for several of the songs.
This time, with the earlier start, the crew was able to make it for thirteen hours! Praise the Lord for His strength to carry on. Great progress was reached, with recording several more songs. We still have two more dates scheduled, and quite possibly next Monday, the bulk of the recording will be done. That doesn’t count all the mixing and mastering! We are so grateful for your prayers and truly felt them.
 So many controls.
“The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord” (Isaiah 38:20).
