Autumn Days

With Sarah’s book outline completed, she is looking forward to the writing process, beginning Monday morning. She would greatly covet your prayers as she embarks on the actual book writing process. Her desire for each book is that it is to be exactly what the Lord Jesus wants. Dad has encouraged her to use the bus for a place to write, and she’s been enjoying the quiet and solitude it affords. She’s even been decorating the bus for Christmas and has a heater running often: it’s a cozy little place.

Thank you for praying!

Last Friday, working on her book outline.
Mint M&Ms do help the creative writing factor, at least we hope (thanks, John)!

  1. I will surely pray for you Sarah. My girls and I have really enjoyed your other books-we’ll be looking forward to the next one.

  2. We will most assuredly pray for you Sarah as you embark on the writing process itself. We pray the LORD will make straight your path & give you clarity, wisdom & ability to write this next book. Like so many others our family will look forwards to reading it. Our prayers partner with you. Jesus bless you.

  3. That’s great, Sarah! Will be praying for you! Must be so nice to work on it in the bus! Hope you all are having a wonderful November. Enjoy writing!

    God bless! Rebecca K.

  4. Yea!! The children will be so excited! With mint M&M’s, this one should be the best yet! 🙂 The bus does look cozy! That’s so cute that you are decorating it, Sarah! I’d do the same thing! 🙂

  5. I will definitely pray for you. Our family has enjoyed the Moody books. My older children have read them all, and we’ve even used them for book reports. One day, I had sat down to nurse the baby and my Bible had been moved but a Moody book was laying on the side table. I decided to pick it up and read it. It was so good, and I didn’t want to put it down. I decided to read it aloud to the little ones who can’t read. Thanks for writing these wonderful books. I especially like the recipes in the story and Not All Fiction! section in the back. Also, its given me ideas of things to do to build family oneness.

  6. Will do.
In one of my homeschool classes, we are writing a book. I’ve always wanted too..thinking it was easy. It’s not. It’s only 17 pages, but all the editing, page layout, and all that other stuff takes a lot of time. It’s not easy to sit down with Mom and edit for 1-2 hours when I have guitar and alll the regular school things that are a “must have” thing. I never knew how hard it was to write, even a Christian book, but your must be even harder!!

  7. Sarah, Our family will be praying for you! The Moody books have been such a blessing for our family. The kids love to see what will happen next. I’ll never forget when Mr. Delome gave his life to Christ. My two older children jumped up from the couch, clapping and squealing. They couldn’t wait to tell their dad when he got home from work. They were truly joyful for him! Thank you and may the Lord bless and guide your work!

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Psalm 133:1

  9. We are looking forward to adding the next Moody book to our collection, I love how it gives my children a view into another Christian home and family. Prayers for you as you write, Sarah.

  10. Lauren is so excited to read a new one. She just devours them up, not only alone, but we also read them aloud. They always think of creative ways to serve others. I just love it. We will pray. Also, as a mom I will say that Mint M&M’s offer not only creative bursts when needed, but also a little burst of energy. 🙂 We will continue to pray.

  11. Dear Sarah,
I have your name in my prayer book and pray for you daily. Prayers for you will now include writing your new Moody book. I love this, “Her desire for each book is that it is to be exactly what the Lord Jesus wants.” That is exactly how I see you writing this book, just as the Lord Jesus wants you to. You are an awesome godly young woman and I pray for the best for you as you follow God’s lead in your life.

    Blessings and Love, Mrs. Mari

  12. My three children will be SO happy you are working on this project, and we’ll eagerly anticipate being able to read what’s been happening in the Moody family.

  13. Sara, I so enjoyed meeting you when you were in Austin, TX recently, and talking to you about writing for children. I don’t know if you remember our conversation by the book tables on the night of your concert. I know what an exciting feeling that is to have the outline of a book all ready in your head, and being so eager to get it down on paper just as you imagine it! Hope to meet you again sometime, we’re the same age and both writers, so it was so nice to meet you!

  14. Our family loves the mint m&m’s as well! One of the little things we love about the holiday season! 🙂

    God Bless

  15. Sooo excited…We all can’t wait for it to be completed. Will be praying…

    Blessings,
    Amelia

  16. Praying for Sarah as she strives to write the words that the Lord would have her to write. ~ And the bus does sound like a “cozy office space” for her to use! 🙂

  17. I think your books, Sarah, are even more powerful than a message or a sermon because they give readers a snapshot of a principle. You don’t just talk about witnessing to a neighbor…you introduce Mr. Delome! You don’t preach about kindness,” you show it in the way your characters speak to one another. You don’t talk about serving, you take the family on a storm clean-up expedition. And on and on!

I pray you are sensitive to the Lord Jesus as He directs what pictures to paint for your readers and that you will experience ideas and creativity in abundance!

P.S. I love that you have a quiet, warm, delicious, and festive place to write!

  18. I really like the Moody Family Series. The books have really encouraged me to spend more time with the Lord.
