Wednesday morning dawned, and we were planning on heading on to Spokane. Nathan had dropped by the bus to give us some things. Then he and Dad talked, and they decided that we would have another family day. We were going to go hiking! We didn’t need to get to Spokane until Friday, and so they decided that we would delay our departure a little. We had a wonderful hike as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as much chatter.

Nathan surprised us with donuts for breakfast which we all enjoyed.

Abigail rode on her daddy’s back for a while!
Aside from a little mud jumping, the path was nice as we wound around the trees.

We met a biker with two Golden Retrievers. Abby always loves dogs, and so she was delighted with these two.

“I’m wearing my uncle’s sunglasses!”

Abby enjoying some hiking herself.

  1. Super cool! What was the weather like in the woods?
It was nice enough for a jacket.

  2. Where did you hike? I’m local, so curious!

Also, thanks for that adorable photo of Abigail with the sunglasses. That made me laugh out loud!

Hope the rest of your trip is safe and enjoyable!
I think it was Banner Forest something or other?

  3. It looked like you all enjoyed your hike very much! 😀 Love the pictures of Abby as always. 😉 HeHe! The one of Bethany all hidden under the hat is adorable though! 🙂 So precious!

Thank you for sharing more family times and pictures!

  4. Thank you for sharing your hike with us! 🙂 Especially enjoyed the cute pictures of Abigail and Baby Bethany under the hat—so cute! ~ I’ve never visited Washington state but hope to one day, Lord willing. Those woods look lovely, and I’m so glad you all are able to be out and enjoy God’s creation!
    Blessings, Patti M. 🙂
P.S. This may seem like a silly question….but I’m curious! Do you feel the humidity in Washington? We have SO much here in Georgia, and I’m always curious about other states.
I didn’t think of the humidity as unordinary–probably because we’re used to it being from Kansas.
