Monday’s pictures

The plan had been that we would go to Northwest Trek with Nathan, Melanie, and the girls on Monday, but when we arrived here in Washington we had heard that it was not open on the day that we wanted to visit it. On Sunday, during the message the pastor used a illustration of some of the lions that were at the Olympic Game Farm. We made note of that in our minds and then later looked it up. We decided that it would be a perfect place to go in the bus as a family.

The Game Farm was a wonderful outing. Abigail was thrilled to see the animals and the bus was alive as everyone fed the animals from the windows. The first animals we were greeted by were the lamas, and Abigail enjoyed feeding them bread. After that, we drove through the park, enjoying the elk, bears, rhino, wolves, and many other. We had a wonderful family day, and everyone was so grateful for the time we spent together.

"Hurray," Abigail said as we arrived at what she calls the zoo.
Here is our "greeter" coming towards the bus.Â
Even the driver was feeding the llamas!

  1. How fun! 😀 I love the one of everyone leaning out the windows to feed and get a look at the animals. 😉 HeHe! Abigail is so cute. 🙂 And it’s so nice to have all the fun new pictures of Bethany now too! 😀

Thank you for sharing Anna! 🙂
    God Bless everyone!

  2. Wow, that bear sure looks upset!! It looks like a grizzly. Was he in a cage, or was he able to get up to the bus? I like the pictures of Abby feeding the lamas. 🙂

It wasn’t exactly a cage but rather an electric fence.

  3. More great photos!

How far was the bear from the bus? I am not sure if Mr. Bear was smiling or growling. 🙂 He also appears to be running at a fast clip….

Our Creator and Lord has given us so many wonderful and different animals. Adam had quite the task of naming them all. I am constantly amazed at their natural instincts annd the beauty of all species.

However, if I had to come face to face with one of the above animals in the park, I think I would take the fluffy white rabbit! 🙂

    Just a couple of feet.

  4. What a fun outing for the family. It’s wonderful to see the girls. I remember praying for both girls while up nursing babies in the middle of the night.

  5. They actually had a bison? I would freak out! How old do you think it was?

    Not sure :-).

  6. First off, how beautiful is God’s creation, and all the creatures in it.

Second, I wanted to comment on the picture taken from the back of the bus, of everyone hanging out of it. I noticed a very small detail- how you have thank you notes and drawings from (I am assuming) children at the conferences. What a wonderful thing to see- there are so many homes who don’t get to experience the joy of a child’s simple drawing 🙂 It also shows your commitment to the families you have met at your conferences, which is very admirable!
