Most of us (except for two who stayed back in the bus to do a few things) went on a beautiful hike in the Columbia Gorge area yesterday morning. Our plan was to leave camp at 8:30 a.m., do a several-hour hike, and then drive to Mt. St. Helens.
Hiking in the woods is one of Mom’s favorite things to do, and we all enjoyed our hike, stopping not infrequently to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. The last few days have been wonderful as we’ve enjoyed some rare moments to hike and enjoy the outdoors.

We arrived at our RV park outside of Mt. Saint Helens mid-afternoon, and we drove up to the park, stopping at every visitor’s center along the way. We looked at maps, and it was decided to take the more adventuresome hike. And, as you’ll see through pictures tomorrow, the hike was a little more adventuresome than we anticipated :-).
