We drove 4 1/2 hours to Crawfordville, Florida, Tuesday morning/afternoon, where we gave an evening conference. We delight to go where the Lord sends us.
One family had driven a number of hours from Georgia to attend, and it was a blessing to meet them! They gifted us with some cookies, which we enjoyed as a late-night snack, as we drove back to Mobile yet that night.
“So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also” (Romans 1:15).
We ended up coming back to our friends’ home here in Mobile on our way to Huntsville, as we prefer to go up the better interstate plus we had some vibration problems with the rear tires. Our friends had a trusted mechanic that we were going to take Uriah in to today. Dad was hopeful that balancing them would take care of it. After the bus work this afternoon, the guys were able to help in the greenhouse. A shipment of seedlings had come in and had to be planted.
“. . .enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 3:13).
—–Hmmm, I (Sarah), thought I’d posted this late last week, but I guess I didn’t, so here’s what the Lord did last week in Mississippi. Sarah—–
We’re a little behind in letting you know what the Lord has been doing, so we’re going to back up to the Hattiesburg/Petal conference. Set up went well, and we were again ready for another time to share with others.
The sessions for the young people were done in a different order than we normally would but that had been planned. After Womanhood, several girls came up to talk. One, though, had the deepest need any person could have: a need for the Savior. I suggested we find somewhere to talk, and it was the most incredible joy I had to lead her to our Lord, as I explained salvation from Scripture. After I asked her to read some Scripture, and we had discussed it some more, I asked her if she wanted to accept Him as her Lord and Savior. We then prayed together, and I had the privilege of listening as she gave her heart to our Lord Jesus! Will you join me in praying for this sixteen-year-old young lady as she starts her new life in Jesus?
Daddy sometimes remarks how amazing it is that the Lord has given us another amazing opportunity to share: it’s night after night, city after city!
I know there were angels rejoicing in Heaven Thursday evening!
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).
