Last Weekend

As we drove in to New Orleans, we saw signs of Hurricane Katrina as some houses had obviously been rebuilt and others had been left in disrepair. We drove across a several mile bridge across Lake Pontchartrain on our way over.

Christopher gave a session for the young people as a last minute idea on Friday evening while the main session was going on.

The Lord so blessed our New Orleans conference. Set up went smoothly Friday, and we were excited to see what the Lord Jesus would do. We weren’t disappointed :-). Again, hearts were open and receptive to the message, with wonderful times of being able to share one-on-one, and in the group setting.

I’m grateful for my wonderful family who dive right into each of their responsibilities and keep up with things that need to be done throughout the day. We love doing this together as a family!

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:13).

  1. You are a great witness. In a secular setting today I heard a lady comment about meeting a homeschool family that had several children and functioned well together as a family unit, all involved in a family business/farm endeavor. She was obviously complimentary of them, but also obviously not used to seeing this! I thought, ‘what a great witness, and I know families like that!’ What a privilege to be a Christian and part of believing familes!

  2. Glad that you are seeing fruit from the conferences. Good pictures.
Ohhhh!!! How did you feel riding that several mile bridge?! Ohhh!! I would’ve been nervous the whole time. God bless!

It was interesting, and we enjoyed seeing the large expanse of water.
