God’s Promise

Rainbow

As we were finishing our conference setup yesterday, a thunderstorm began to build in the area. One and three-quarters inches of rain fell in a little less than an hour. As the storm cleared, we saw a beautiful rainbow. I grabbed my camera and took several photos, but only as I was editing them, I noticed the double rainbow. They say, here in Texas that everything is bigger, and this was no exception. It so reminded me of God’s promise to mankind that He would never flood the earth again.

Joseph

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. . . And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth.” (Genesis 13:16)

  2. What a beautiful rainbow!!! I love how bright the colors are! Some rainbows are not as bright. That one is a nice one! The rainbow is a wonderful promise from God! It made me happy to see this picture today because I didn’t have the greatest day earlier and the photo showing God’s beautiful work made it a little brighter! -Hannah K.

  3. What a beautiful picture (love that Texas flag)! We were so sad to miss you guys in TX. We just moved from Austin. It sounds like things went well and I’m sure you inspired many. We sent friends and I can’t wait to hear what they thought.

  4. Beautiful, just beautiful. God is so amazing! Thanks for sharing. We will continue to pray for safe travel and receptive hearts.

  5. I have taken many photos of rainbows and they have never turned out as vibrant as this one. Amazing!

  6. Wonderful picture of the rainbows!! Only our God could create something so absolutely beautiful!! 🙂

  7. Wow.
My daughter (5yrs) was just learning about rainbows. We discussed the colour order (how God is a God of order),etc. In her textbook it stated that sometimes there is a double rainbow and that the colours are always inverted from the ‘main’ rainbow. I had told her that I had never seen a double rainbow. Today we read your blog and saw that awesome picture. It opened a great discussion again. Thanks!!

  8. Beautiful.

I received 2 rainbow photos today–yu all, and my son Zak who is on vacation in Hawaii sent me one he took from his hotel balcony.

Rainbows are so beautiful. Only God create something so beautiful.

Prayers for safe travels and a wonderful conference.

    Blessings, Mrs. Mari
