Encouraging Each Other

We received this e-mail earlier this week.
Hello from Chile!

We are a missionary family serving in Northern Chile, South America.  We have many of your books and have used MOTH for several years.  I am writing to let you know that today our family attended a multi-denominational worship service in a very small village in the Andean foothills.  During the singing time, they were using a Powerpoint presentation and a picture of your family – with the Golden Retriever in the middle of you – holding hands and praying in front of a “Families for Jesus” trailer flashed up on the screen! Since we are familiar with your products and blog, I was so excited (and rather surprised!).
Just wanted to let you know that your family is bearing witness to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ even in Chile!

Many blessings,
Bryan & Deana

It has been our custom to pray like that before our trips. Not only do we want the Lord’s protection and blessing on our trips, but we do want our neighbors to know that we are crying out to our Lord for His mercy while we travel. Then by sharing it on the blog we hope to encourage other families to have a public testimony in your neighborhoods as well. I do admit that we were surprised to learn that God chose to use that photo in a very small village in Chile to encourage others.
May we all be salt and light in everything we do.

“To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand” (2 Corinthians 10:16).

  1. That’s a wonderful thing to do, especially since you want others to see it for God ‘s glory! I like seeing you all do that before trips! It’s an inspiring choice for God’s people!

    God bless! Rebecca K.
