It was a delight to be able to attend our friends’ nursing home church Sunday morning! We enjoyed talking to all their dear friends and learning about them. The service was just wonderful!

After the church service, we all went into the “living room” and sang hymns together, a tradition each week, with the elderly picking out their favorite hymns.

What a joy it was to attend another nursing home church service!! It was a priceless time.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27).
It is such a blessing to people in these nursing homes to have you bring the Word of God to them every week. When was father was in a nursing home for a short while we always enjoyed the nusing home ministry that lead the Sunday morning service. Mom even played the piano for them to sing hymns by and she continued going to play for them long after Dad came back home.
Even with Mom’s memory loss she remembers the hymns. She loves nothing more than to have my son Zak come over to visit her on a day off and play her favorite hymns for her on the piano, as she sings along. It is a special time the two of them share together.
Blessings, Mrs. Mari
Dear Maxwell Family,
Your ministry to the elderly is so precious. So many are neglected and feel lonely, unloved and useless. Thank you for being a blessing! I know our God is pleased!
With love from the K. family in NJ
P.S. We LOVE the “hands” picture. You know our names are engraved on the palms of His hands.
That’s a sweet, precious thing to do for them. It was probably the highlight
of the residents’ day!
Oh, that’s just sweet! I’m sure the residents enjoyed it!
