In Labor

Quick update on Melanie. Dr. did induce this morning. Took awhile for things to kick in, but she is now in tangible labor. We are both very happy, well, at this point I’m the happy one; Melanie is a bit distracted.

It was amazing; we gave our approval to the Dr. yesterday morning for induction. Before he had a chance to, he got called to another hospital and didn’t return till this morning. While Melanie’s body didn’t kick in on its own during that time, God must have had a special reason to delay by 24 hours. Only He could have orchestrated that. It served as a reminder that we are passengers observing and experiencing His plan. Paraphrasing, man plans his course but the Lord determines his steps.

It’s exciting to be at this point, waiting to meet a little one….

  9. hooray for labor!! and hooray for melanie being “a bit distracted” since that means baby is on the way! boy i don’t think i’ll even sleep well tonight for thinking and praying for melanie and baby. funny how the Lord unites believers like that…”rejoice with those who rejoice!” can’t wait to rejoice at all God is gonna do!

  10. Oh what a blessing to be at this place and to be able to welcome labor with joy as you made it full term. My husband and I are doing our weekly late night here doing needed school preparations, so we will keep you in prayer and check the site regularly. Congratulations. Praying for a smooth and peaceful delivery!
