Driving through New Mexico

After a good night’s sleep for 2/3 of the family, we headed out around 7:45. It’s a sunny day as we drive across New Mexico. The scenery is very interesting: lots of scrub vegetation, rugged red rock faces, small mountains, and patches of snow.

As we motor down the interstate, some are doing school, others are on their computers, one is driving (Dad!), and another is studying.

Our goal is to make it to Colorado Springs or Limon tonight. Thank you for praying for us! We are very grateful.

  1. Where in NM? We live in the Albuquerque area.
    Praying for your safety.

We’re on Interstate 40 and approaching Albuquerque :-). Thanks for your prayers! Sarah

  2. I wish you had time to visit the Taos Pueblo which is a bit north of Albuquerque. It was well worth an afternoon when we passed through New Mexico in 2008. I have to say NM was one of my favorite states on our trip. Breathtaking scenery!

  3. Continued prayers for safe travels. Thank you for “taking” your readers along on this wonderful trip!! 🙂

P.S. If I lived near you all, I’d have a yummy meal prepared, waiting for you all when you arrived home. I guess Georgia is just too far from Kansas for me to do that—the food would definitely be cold by the time I delivered it!
