The bus is making good progress! The to-do lists are getting shorter! Yes, we will be very happy to be on the road, and then not have to keep thinking about what we still need to bring or do before leaving.
One of the boys is insulating the front of the bus! With the single digit temperatures, it made working outside a bit chilly! John has been patiently fixing something having to do with the windshield wiper fluid.Christopher has been a great help in every area such as helping pack ministry things, bus work, ironing (Yes, he helped with the ironing - he's very good/fast at that) Anything that needs to be done, he's there to lend a hand!Since Grandma is no longer is able to do our pre-trip ironing, Mom and Mary worked hard to get much of it done!Mary made many of the bunks. She has a very special touch for making them look very inviting!
“The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.” (Psalm 93:1)
I wish I was closer and I’d help you iron. Ironing is one of those things I love to do, and I even iron t-shirts. Unlike you however, I am not brave enough to do Mr. Phil’s dress shirts so I send them to the dry cleaners.
Praying for everything to go well and Uriah to be well too.
Blessings, Mrs. Mari
I was just thinking of you all this morning knowing that your time of departure is nearing and just imagining all you have to do before you leave. I know how much we have to do before we travel north and how wearing and trying those days can be. I find I have to really rely on the Lord for my strength, trust Him to bless our time of work and preparation, and seek Him early and often to keep my heart right (tiredness and feeling overwhelmed can make me a grumpy wife/mommy and I don’t like that one bit!) 🙂 So I was praying this morning for you all that the Lord would help you all make good progress on what you needed to accomplish and I’m so glad to know he is doing just that! Maybe someday one of my boys will take a liking to ironing 🙂 It’s not my favorite chore; I motivate myself to do it each week by looking forward to praying for each person for whom I am ironing. Beka is just getting old enough to do it well with my supervision. We’ll continue to pray for you all in the days ahead and I can’t wait to see you!!! love, Jaynee
I will be thinking and praying for you as you make this trip! Isn’t it nice that Mary is someone who likes to take the time and effort to make something pleasant for someone else? That is a very good quality in a young lady! Blessings to you all! Beth
Looking at the pictures, it occurs to me that not only do prayers need to go up about addressing all concerns regarding your transportation, but for those working on the vehicles themselves! (Some of the work looks a tiny bit dangerous.) As a fellow “sower” I appreciate the work going into your wardrobe. And this question is going to sound rather strange and completely off-point, but how do you ladies stay in such great shape? I simply do not have time for any of these “diets” (besides the fact that I doubt the vast majority of them are even safe). I am not interested in being thin, but I’m pretty sure that being a healthy weight will help me get my work done more efficiently and effectively. Blessings, Mrs. B

Watching/limiting the calories is simple, not necessarily easy. Some do better than others.
