24 hours and counting…

This will be likely be my last post until we’re officially on the road, and then we can update you with pictures. 🙂 Another work day has been completed, and our last one is ahead of us. Truly, we ARE grateful for your prayers.

Pushing Hard

Another long day, but progress was made. We’re all looking forward to being in the bus and on our way to Denver come Thursday. We know, at this point, not all the projects will be completed, but at least enough for the bus to be livable, Lord willing. We’ll finish up projects here and there as we go…

Here are some pictures…

Pressing On: Lots of Pictures

The bus work is progressing, and we’re very thankful for your prayers. Below you’ll find many pictures from the last few days. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will fly by as preparations continue!

The Lord continues to give grace and strength. Thursday, we discovered our freshwater tank, brand new and already installed behind two other tanks, had a leak. After discussing it with the manufacturer, they gave us a phone number of a place that could fix it. John left early Friday morning to go to the other side of Kansas City to have it repaired. It ended up they had to build a new tank, but they were able to do that yet Friday. Praise Jesus 🙂 .

We would covet your prayers as we continue to prepare.

I dont have a ton of pictures of John. Lately, hes been running tons of errands getting parts needed. He spent all Friday with the people who made us a new freshwater tank.

The Lord provided the countertop for only $50 about 6 weeks ago. It was a scrap piece, worth MUCH more, and the place offered it to us for only $50.

New Books Announcement Plus a Bit of Background

We wanted to let our blog readers know that Steve’s “project” that caused him to miss being able to write two Dad’s Corners is now available. For some time, Steve has had a burden on his heart for helping busy, time-pressured, and often stressed Christian dads be all that God has called them to be. In addition, requests for information on time management for men come to us regularly.

This summer with the house project behind us and before investing time in the bus conversion, Steve spent many weeks and hours working on his new book called Redeeming the Time: A Practical Guide to a Christian Man’s Time Management.

This book is designed not only to help a man manage his time, but also to allow him to fulfill his calling as a husband and father in Christ Jesus. We are excited about the feedback we received from the men who read Steve’s manuscript.

Even though we aren’t announcing the book in our Corners mailing yet, we know that some of our blog readers are anxiously awaiting Sarah’s Moody book completion. Because some of you might want Steve’s book as well, we thought we should let you know since shipping is less expensive when you get the two books in one order.  We didn’t want you to order Sarah’s book, pay shipping, and then when we announced Steve’s book order that and pay shipping again.

Bus Progress

I wanted to give you all a quick picture update of the last few days. The weather has been unseasonably cool–so cool, you actually have to wear a sweatshirt in the morning if you’re outside. We’re praising the Lord for such incredible weather with the bus work! Okay, now onto the pictures… Thank you for your prayers! We actually had to send one of our tanks back to the manufacturer Friday via a trucking place due to needing something welded. We should hopefully have it back this Friday. There is still much to be done, and we are grateful for your prayers!
