Weekend Report

Thursday night was our first night with all of us sleeping on the bus. Some of us were tired, so we just went back to our bunks before we arrived at our destination! No more checking into a hotel, dragging our bags in, and then going to bed 🙂 .

The conference coordinator’s family graciously invited us for a delicious breakfast Friday morning. We parked our bus near their house Thursday night. They also provided Friday evening dinner and Saturday lunch–thank you for blessing us.

The coordinators children helped clean the bugs off the front of the bus.

Then, Friday for lunch, we met our wonderful former neighbors! 10 years ago they moved to the Denver area. We had remained in contact through Christmas letters every year, and it was a delight to see them.

We found out my banjo was forgotten at home, so I sat and listened to most of the concert. I enjoyed taking some pictures (and was also grateful that were stopping by home Wednesday night).

A family, who lives in New Hampshire, had been in California, and it worked out that they were able to attend the conference. They also read our blog :-). We were very blessed to have some time to fellowship with them.

The first conference on this trip went well! It was such a blessing to be able to share our hearts throughout the weekend. Thank you to all those who came!

It’s now Sunday afternoon, and we have arrived at Rocky Mountain National Park, where we will be able to spend until Tuesday night, hiking and enjoying God’s incredible creation. This afternoon, we’ll have a special time of worship.

We’ll be sure to post pictures of our mountain time…
