Bus Progress

The past week has flown by, and another jam-packed week is approaching. We are on a countdown before our month-long trip (leaving September 10th). Our first stop is Denver, Colorado, September 11th & 12th. We hope to see many of you on this trip (and the trip continues to grow, with new stops being added).

Mary turned 13 this past week. We enjoyed a family time of celebrating.
One of Abigail's new things, which the aunts enjoy asking her due to her cute reaction, "Where is it?!"
Yesterday, we began work on our bunk curtains. We have 7 sets of two panels each to make. Lots of sewing to do πŸ™‚ . For those who might think the bunks will get hot with curtains, we've thought of that too. Actually, the guys are ducting air into the bunks!
Mom
Yards and yards of fabric to sew!
Mary has been using a sewing machine my grandma gave us. It's during these kinds of times two machines come in handy.

  1. WOW! You all have been working so hard! How wonderful that your family is able to do the wiring, etc. on the bus (I wouldn’t know where to begin on a project like that!). πŸ™‚ And the bunk curtains will turn out nicely, I’m sure. ~ Happy Birthday to precious Mary! (May I ask about the birthday dessert? It looked yummy!) ~ Love the cute picture of Abigail – – such a little doll. ~ Thank you so much for giving your readers a peak into your life as you go about serving our Lord. You are such an inspiration. Blessings from Georgia, Patti M. πŸ™‚

The dessert is actually just layered pudding. The girls alternated chocolate, vanilla, and Oreo pudding. It was good! Sarah

  2. What is that wonderful cake/dessert? It looks a little similar to a trifle and yet not……

It’s actually very simple — pudding done in layers :-). The girls layered chocolate, vanilla, and Oreo pudding :-).

  3. Happy happy birthday to Mary!!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful trip out west! Colorado is such a beautiful place…I’ve only been there once…well, twice if you count just being in the airport…and I would love to go visit again!
It is so nice seeing what you are doing in your bus. We just recently bought a little trailer to pull behind our van for family trips and I can’t wait to start working on it! (Our little home away from home!)
    Love to you all! Beth

  4. Our family looks forward to seeing you for the first time at your Denver conference. It’s now been a year since we first found out about your family, and the conferences have always been too far away for us to attend but this time you’re coming straight to our city! What a blessing.
I’m only sad because my mother already bought tickets to come see our family and she’ll arrive a couple hours after the conference is over. At least I’ll get to tell her all about it πŸ™‚

  5. your bus is coming along. it is such a blessing to be able to watch you all working together as a family on this project. what a blessing the bus will be to you on your travels, allowing you to stay together as you work together carrying the god out to the world.
