Another Retirement Home

Thursday we sang and played at a retirement home here in Leavenworth! Nathan, Melanie, and Abigail joined us, and of course, Abigail was a big hit among the elderly!  Here are some of the pictures from the afternoon.

  1. Dear Maxwells,
Thank you for posting the photos. It’s hard to tell who is enjoying themselves more-the residents or your family! Bless you for visiting and sharing your talents and caring.

  2. i just wanted to tell you how lovely your new jumpers are and how beautiful they look on you girls.

since reading about the anna and mary busy working on the jumpers and now seeing you all wearing them, i am missing my jumpers. i wore linen jumpers exclusively for about 35+/- years. it’s only been recently, since moving to seattle, that i have moved into almost exclusively skirts. i think it might be time to nake a jumper 🙂

i do hope someday i have the opportunity to hear you all sing.

  3. Love the matching jumpers. Thank you for posting photos and giving us a sneak peek into your lives. God bless.
    Marie

  4. I love those jumpers — the colors really are pretty! And Abigail is so cute!! Isn’t she coming up on her first birthday sometime soon?

    She was one last week.

  5. Thank you, Maxwell family, for posting such encouraging and uplifting posts, writing your monthly Corners, publishing books, etc. For a while now I have been praying for someone to come in to my life as a christian mentor- someone I can go to for Godly wisdom as I am a wife and mother of 3 and planning to start homeschooling our oldest in the Fall- and that’s when I found your site! I can’t tell you how thankful I am for all the resources your family offers. You are an answer to prayer and I plan to order some books from you soon!
May God richly bless your family.

  6. The jumpers on the girls are so pretty. I love the colors.

I am on your blog often since I meet you all in Ottawa last year. We enjoyed all of your talks so much and the singing too.

Are you done writing your new Moody book yet Sarah? I have really enjoyed them all.

    God Bless, Erin (from Ottawa)

  7. What a wonderful ministry you all have visiting and singing for the elderly! ~ The picture of “the Girls” in your matching jumpers is precious (those jumpers are very nice). ~ Thank you again for being such an inspiration to so many.
Hugs from Georgia, Patti M. 🙂

  8. Thank you for ministering to the lonely in the nursing home. Loved the expressions on your children’s faces as they ministered, real caring being shown.

  9. I love the jumpers, flowing and modest and VERY pretty! Would be please be so kind as to share your pattern information if it is purchased. I have 4 girls and would love to have some from that pattern.
We have so been blessed over the years by your familya nd can hardly wait for #5 of the Moody books.

The pattern for those jumpers is Simplicity 5917. Anna says they are very simple to make and fairly quick. We added length to the jumper pattern because we wear our jumpers about ankle length.

Thanks for your enthusiasm on the next Moody book :-). ~Sarah
