The move — it is official, and it is well underway! Dad picked up the U-Haul (no endorsement!) early this evening, and after dinner, family Bible time (sentimental Sarah thinking about it being our last in the house…), everyone hurried into action!

We can’t be long-winded right now, but suffice it to say, we’ll be trying to document the move with pictures, and keep you posted as we are able. We’ve been in the house for about nineteen years, so with a normal family of 9, plus a ministry, there is a LOT to move! 🙂 There are many fond memories from these years here, and the three youngest were born in this house!

I’m sorry I haven’t introduced myself earlier (I’ve been reading for about 2 weeks now, trying to catch up with old posts, etc.) but I am so excited for your move! I love seeing how happy everyone looks moving into the new house. I also love that you built it with your own hands. I really value hard work in my own life, so it is great to read your blog. You set a real example! Thank you for posting family oriented, wholesome, and mostly importantly Christian content on your page. I am so glad I discovered it!

God bless. You all have worked so hard. I know these are exciting times but I also know firsthand that moving isn’t for the fainthearted. You all work together so well, it will be no trouble at all. Good luck and enjoy your new home. Take care.

Praise Jesus! What a wonderful day! What beautiful work you’ve all done! Praying for a rain-free move…
(BTW-We’ve been enjoying ALL of the books we recently ordered, especially “Keeping Our Children’s Hearts”)
Yea!! We are putting our house on the market next week, and I know the excitement of feeling like things are *finally* underway after such a long time of hoping and working. May the Lord bless your time in your new house, and may this time of excitement (and stress) be filled with good memories!
Congrats Maxwells!
I have not been to a confrence of yours in about 7 years (wow, has it been that long?) But even then you were talking about your desire to raise your children to be debt free. Have ya’ll been able to sell your old house in this bad economy? I’m down in Georgia and our area has been hit very hard, but maybe the housing market is better in Kansas?
Ya’ll have done your own work the same time we have been doing our basement. (My husband and two oldest sons have done the work, and I clean 🙂 ) So it has been great to watch through pictures on here! Thanks for that little ‘labor of love’.
Yeah!! We are so excited for your family! Congratulations on the completion. The little snipets we have seen, the house looks beautiful!

SOOOOOO excited for you!!! Love your kitchen!!!!!
Love,

What an exciting day! I’m sure by the end of today you will all be exhausted but maybe sleeping in your new house? I love the backsplash tile in the kitchen and would love to know what type of countertop you ended up with? I thought it might be granite but then was surprised to see you trim it with wood, so maybe granite tile? Can’t wait for the ‘tour’! Congratulations!

It is granite tile. It was actually cheaper than laminate counter top, well at least as long as you do all the work yourself. 🙂

Soooooo exciting for you all. The fun part…packing & moving! Wow 19 years I could just imagine…19 years of memories & accumulation of things.
I love your kitchen. Thanks for sharing.
Keep on taking pictures Sarah. Nothing is wrong for being sentimental. =D.
I love the backsplash tiles in the kitchen. So pretty! It’s so encouraging to see all the skills your family has learned!
